Pravesh & Rahul Randev first experimented with Indian cuisine in 1995 with the launch of Delhi Express. This grew from strength to strength and founded a sound reputation for quality and value in the local area all thanks to Mrs Randev and her traditional home cooked dishes. A few years later the brothers acquired the bakery in Millersneuk Shopping precinct with the vision to open a modern Indian restaurant and deli for the people of Lenzie and East Dunbartonshire.
Regional dishes from around India, plus fusion fare, served in a sleek, high-design dining room.

We ordered a takeaway from Delhi Express on Saturday and, unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience overall.
We eat Indian food regularly and have done so for over 50 years, both in restaurants and as takeaway, so this is based on fairly broad experience rather than a one-off or unusual expectation.
Our order was: vegetable and chicken pakora, spiced onions, poppadoms, mushroom and paneer curry, chicken dopiaza, fried rice and naan bread. The total came to £46.65, which is quite a bit more than we usually pay elsewhere for a similar order (£25-30), so we were expecting something a bit special.
Sadly, most of the dishes fell short.
The vegetable pakora tasted overcooked and slightly burnt, and I struggled to really identify much vegetable in it — it mostly tasted of spice and even the whole cumin seeds were bland. The portion was also quite small.
The chicken pakora was a better size portion, but unfortunately very dry and rather bland. My wife only managed a couple of pieces and left the rest.
The mushroom and paneer curry was the most disappointing dish for me. It had very little heat or depth of flavour, and the paneer had a slightly chewy, undercooked texture rather than being soft. I would not be surprised if the paneer had been frozen. The sauce itself tasted more like a generic budget jar sauce than a proper Indian curry, with none of the usual fenugreek, coriander or chilli notes you’d expect and more like an Indian/Chinese fusion.
The chicken dopiaza was also unusual — very pale (dopiaza is usually a deeper brown colour) and more like a thin gravy than a rich curry sauce. The chicken itself was fine, but the sauce was quite bland.
To be fair, the rice, poppadoms and naan bread were all fine. The spiced onions were okay, but nothing memorable.
In the end, a lot of the meal went uneaten, which we genuinely hate doing, but it just wasn’t very enjoyable.
It’s a shame, because the venue itself looks lovely, but based on this experience the food didn’t really justify the price at all nor did it compare well with other local takeaways we use.
35 minutes for the starters to come out, others that came in after us served theirs before us and they only came out when we chased them up. When they did come, one of them was freezing and had to be sent back. The other two starters were like warm at best.
Main courses came out and the curry sauce for the chicken tikka sizzler was bland, tasteless and so very watery.
Ordered a garlic naan and a plain one came out instead, which after being told it was definitely garlic, they took away and replaced.
Had food from there before, friends I was with have dined there a few times and that’s why we chose to go for our traditional Christmas eve dinner outing, but on this showing, I doubt I will be back. Such a shame
naan dreadful . Haven’t used for years , now I remember why . Shame really , we were looking forward to it . £36.00 in the bin unfortunately .
