I really enjoyed this restaurant. It was an intimate restaurant, low lighting, nice atmosphere, not really crowded. We got the beef tartare and the salmon. Both were excellent, really fresh. The service was fast and our waitress was really kind and always willing to help. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back !

Wonderful wonderful restaurant! Our Server Cè was so delightful and made the experience very memorable. She was knowledgeable on the menu and even asked the Chef to make me a dish that was not on their reduced menu at the time, which was very special! If you are visiting old Montreal this is an absolute must stop!

Perfect dining experience! Food was fantastic. Got the grilled octopus and salmon putanesca. Beautiful balance of flavours and they masterfully toned down the acidity in both dishes. The waiter was friendly, sociable and personable and he engaged with me in way that I felt genuinely welcomed. He did a wonderful pitch on the deconstructed cheesecake with dulce de leche but I was pretty full. Highly recommended.

Stumbled upon this place looking for delicious French onion soup. 3hrs later… we finally left. We loved this spot. The happy hour is daily from 2 to 6 , was part of the reason we stayed so long. The soup was delicious and the gnocchi… outstanding! We really enjoyed the atmosphere, a comfy, not too big, French background music playing restaurant . The service was outstanding especially, Callum. He was so attentive, full of helpful tips for dining and seeing things in town. We throughly enjoyed our experience at Babette Nicole, a genuine French restaurant.

We had dinner and drinks and absolutely loved the place. Our waiter was super friendly and fun and he recommended us some of their delicious dishes and drinks. At his suggestion, we got escargots as appetizers which were super delicious. As main dishes we got the duck breast and winter chicken. Both were phenomenal. The sauce of the chicken was particularly delicious, so flavourful and creamy. I don’t think I’ve had anything similar and as delicious. The dishes are rich, so keep that in mind as you’ll get full fast. They also have a small patio in front of the restaurant which is nice in the summer.

The restaurant had a lovely and unique ambience that made for a memorable setting. Our server was incredibly nice and welcoming, which really added to the experience. We had requested outdoor seating and were promptly ushered to a table outside.
As a group of five, we ordered a variety of lunch dishes including the beef tartare, beef sandwich, and black garlic gnocchis. While everything was presented well, the food itself was unfortunately a bit mediocre and didn’t quite live up to our expectations.
That said, the sunny weather made for a pleasant outdoor meal, although it did start to get quite hot. Overall, it was a decent experience with standout service and atmosphere, but the food could use a little more refinement.

We really enjoyed ourselves at Buvette Nicole. We had the cheese fondue to start which was very tasty, and a few appetizers to finish. The service was fantastic, thank you!

Visited this establishment this past weekend, on September 6th, for brunch during a day trip to the city with my classmates. We came by at around 11am and our party of 9 was easily accommodated. The service was quick and we were able to get our orders in right away.
My table ordered an assortment of beverages and meals, but I went with a hot chai latte and the french toast. We received our drinks first and didn’t have to wait too long for our food to arrive. While the french toast was delicious, it did not fill me up. I was almost shocked at how quickly I ate it as it felt like I hadn’t eaten anything at all. The others in my party who also ordered the french toast thought the same, so I knew it wasn’t just me. We ended up supplementing our hunger by eating the leftover homefries that those who ordered sandwiches couldn’t finish. If the french toast came with something else on the side, like the homefries, then I would’ve been more satisfied with my meal.
Other than that, we had a great time overall. The place is super cute in the interior and the service was great overall. Our servers were kind and didn’t hesitate to answer any of our questions about the menu.
I would still recommend you come here, but to order something heavier, like the omelette, croque monsieur, or breakfast sandwich if you’re really hungry. The french toast wouldn’t be a bad option if you are looking for something light!

This place exceeded our expectations by a mile. The service and food were both excellent for its price point. Our server Andrew was amazing, he was friendly and interacted with us throughout. We let him picked all our courses and we almost licked the plates clean. Sometimes the service is just as enjoyable as the food.
