The Island Bird is hands down the best. Reminded me of some good plate lunch on Oahu. The guys working the counter were very friendly. Would certainly recommend a visit and will return when we are in the area.

Very tasty selection of chicken. The only downside is the price. We got the ENB burrito and the chicken and avocado bowl. The crack sauce is extremely tasty but has a kick (mostly to slow you down from inhaling it all). The bowl was sadly low on contents but what was there was very tasty.

Ordered the Nashville Bowl with grilled chicken (hot) for takeout. The flavor was decent, but the portion size was pretty small for the price. I was expecting a bit more, especially for a dish with bold flavors like Nashville hot chicken. The food was packaged well and ready on time, but overall, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. Might give it another try, but hoping for better value next time!

Their dine-in is open! Their patio is open! Open air dining if that is what you like is available. If you need to sit down inside, that is available as well. I am a regular here with my husband and we love this place so much that our kids love it. My second son, when asked, what do you want for your birthday dinner? He responded, “Egg n Bird!” We loved that! Our kids used to say McDonald’s but we were so happy we can enjoy great chicken sandwiches after a long day together as a family in the patio. They have some great new menu items that you should try if you have not been here in awhile. Korean Hot Chicken style sandwiches and fries are available now for a limited time. Go enjoy the items and the vibe at upgraded egg n bird establishment! I just wish they could come closer to where I live! Thank you Egg N Bird staffs! They were so kind and helpful while our family was there!

They have a new menu that is a must try! Korean Hot Bird Sandwich! I am from Korea and I knew right away what sauce they used. Normally this is a sauce that is used on Spicy Korean Rice Cakes that are made on the griddle, sold on the streets of Korea. It brought me back to times that I lived in Korea, buying them off the streets! Thank you Egg N Bird for bringing back good memories! Korean slaw that is in the sandwich is different from their original bird sandwich but it tastes very fresh and hits right on the spot in the mouth and in the stomach. My wife and I have become a regular to Egg N Bird and it was really nice to see new special menu items. Korean Hot Sandwich is definitely a hit. If you have not tried it, you must. My wife also got the Korean Hot Style Chicken on top of the fries and we could not stop our hands from going to it constantly. Take a look at the delicious food photos below~! Dine-in and Patio is open too now, so you can take your family and hang out for a good meal any time of the day, breakfast, lunch, or dinner. As it is so hard to find a quality dine-in these days with so many places limited and closed.

I have always seen this place in Maywood and finally had the chance to try it. I decided to get the Nashville sandwich and let me tell you, it was AMAZING! The chicken was crispy while also being very juicy and overall, the whole sandwich was amazing. The fries were great as well. The food was definitely worth the price. The sauce was also amazing and goes well with the fries. Our cashier Noe was also amazing. He helped us order and had a great personality too! Definitely a funny dude! In conclusion, if you’re in the area definitely try this place. It’ll be worth it!

The restaurant is located in Maywood, which is tucked away in the middle of an industrial area surrounded by train tracks. We saw the bright yellow awning and cute lights as we turned into the plaza.
As we walked into the restaurant, I was a bit sad that we couldn’t dine indoors. They offered up the patio as an alternative, and luckily we were all dressed for the blistering cold. They also do not let customers use the restroom, so make sure you use the bathroom before dining in…
I looked at the menu earlier and was really looking forward to trying The egg N bird, I love eggs in my sandwiches but totally missed the part where it said it was a breakfast only sandwich. I was then debating between the Fried Chicken Banh Mi and the Korean Hot. In the end, I settled for the FC Banh Mi.
It had a nice buttery bun, with a flavorful Asian slaw. It was a nice flavor and went well with the chicken. The seasoned fries were nice and crunchy, and went well with that crack sauce! The tenders didn’t get good reviews though, overcooked, dry and lacked flavor. It relies too heavily on the sauce to carry the chicken tenders. The sandwiches were better just because of all the flavors that surround the chicken.
It’s a nice little chicken sandwich spot, and worth a try. I hope to come back one day to try their Egg N Bird sandwich if I’m in the area.

Finally tried this local place. Had a normal chicken sandwich and their dirty fries. Sandwich was good, thick and juicy. Crack sauce has this sweet taste with a little spice to it. My sandwich was missing pickles though. But still really good. Fries were good as well, nice size. It comes with the same sauce so it was a nice flavor. Will be back to try out the breakfast sandwich.
