I have never seen any Raman takes more than an hour to prepare
I asked about my order twice, they jx tell me it’s in process, however there were only had 2 tables including myself in the store which the other table came in after I had been waiting for 40 min. One of the staff was hitting on a girl not even eating, and the staff is cleaning the same table for an hour….
If you are really here for some actual food, this place only provide microwave goza which takes 45 min for this job, good for people on diet, it will keep u starving
If I can give 0 star that would be 0 star.

tiny little hole in the wall place in the listed area that a very well used exposed kitchen area and a small menu. If a dive bar were a restaurant, this would be it. And everything about this place is ah-mazing. The food is exceptional. They have ramen options I’ve never seen. Their appetizers are unique and so so good. And they’re open late! If you ever get there chance to come here take it. You will not be disappointed.

This is the most fresh bowl of ramen I’ve had in a while.
I showed up with a group of 7. The owner saw our group and rearranged tables for us to sit. Admittedly, service was slower than what I would have preferred. However, every bowl of ramen felt so fresh.
I got the fire ramen. My boyfriend got the Shio ramen. The broth and the noodles were the best part. We also ordered a side of karrage . Please, order the karrage. The chicken was juicy. It didn’t feel like the pieces were sitting in oil.
Overall, we paid $100 for 7 people ! I’d definitely come back here again. If you do come here, expect fresh food but keep in mind that service is on the slower side.

Such an amazing spot. Truly a hole in the wall, service is on the slower side but well worth the wait! Cheap and delicious will definitely come back again for the fire ramen and chicken karaage!

Cute little hole in a wall place, looks like family owned and run restaurant. The food is good for the price and portion. They are open late. The service is good and fast. I would go back if I am in the area. We got fried rice and Assari Ramen.

The food and vibe here are definitely old-skool healthy and delicious japanese food. it’s not like all the other ramen restaurants popping up where the ingredients and broth are much heavier whereas at Asa, the masterful simplicity of the broth complimenting the toppings is something to be appreciated. The place is old, and smells a bit like cigarettes but I got used to it pretty quickly (I am very smell sensitive so I almost left but the man who I am guessing is the owner, came over and gave us little chips with our beer and he smiled and giggled a little. I instantly fell in love ❤️). Everything was delicious. Try it out!

I ordered within 5 minutes of sitting down. However after 30 minutes of waiting my food hadn’t come out. During that time, no servers came and checked to me and said something like “hey your food is taking longer than usual but we’re working on it.” So after 30 minutes I got up and walked out. There is no logical reason Ramen should take longer than 30 minutes to make(mind you it wasn’t super busy either). At that point I start to question to competency of the cooks. Others mentioned in their reviews the smell of cigaretts. I also noticed that as well. They probably have no regard for food health safety standards. 0/5 stars. Infuriating that they wasted my time.

The food was great. I got a Curry Ramen which is a soy sauce based soup and it wasn’t too salty. Just perfect. The food portion as ginormous. The server was very nice and attentive. The have outside seating.

Excerpt from Eat the World Los Angeles:
One ramen spot just north of the 405 on Western that serves sublime bowls is Asa Ramen, a place that intricately makes you feel like you have stepped back in time at least a couple decades. Even the cigarette smells wafting in from the connected karaoke/hostess cafe next door make it seem a long time ago. But what is better than five or ten years ago, at least from the customer’s point of view, is that the weekend waiting lists are hardly a thing and the influencers (the new hipsters) have moved on.
