I ordered the fisherman’s platter. Heavy batter on cod, catfish filets heavy on batter and muddy on taste. Good baked potato but can’t believe they don’t have real butter. Salad bar was nice. My husband ordered gizzards and he liked them. He said they had nice chew and light batter.

When I’m in a mood for a steak, I only go to Joe’s Place! It’s cooked perfectly, and my wife alwaze orders the 3 piece all white chicken. There was an incident where we waited for over an hour and her food was raw, they said to order something else & Wayne took care of our bill. Over all, Joe’s Place is the BEST PLACE TO EAT FOR MEATS!

Every single member of this staff was so amazing and personable, and the prime rib was perfect from the first bite!
My baked potato was perfect.
Salad was lovely, with homemade dressing, and awesome croutons that don’t break your teeth!
It’s wonderful to go to a place where your wait staff makes you feel like you’re the only person there despite the place being packed. Just cannot say enough about the staff!
(Prime rib is either right or it is wrong, and this prime rib is right, from the first bite!)
I give them six stars and I give myself one star for forgetting my wallet. It was worth the return trip with the wallet just to see them again.
VERY MUCH Worth the trip!

We hadn’t been several years, but it’s just as good as I remembered. I had chicken gizzards & spaghetti, and my husband had the bluegill. The spaghetti tasted just like it did 30 years ago when we first started going. The gizzards were delicious (which is the real reason I went there), and my husband bluegill was amazing. There was plenty of food, and the service is always great!

I order take out and my food was excellent!!! It was still hot when I got home. It was ready when I got there. Excellent customer service. Very polite in the restaurant and when I called in my order. I would highly recommend!!

We went there for the first time on 12/11/21. We drove an hour and a half as we had heard good things. First the good. The prime rib and baked sweet potato were very good as was the fresh salad. We had two waitresses taking care of us and the lady with the walking boot on her foot worked circles around the younger gal. Now the not so good. That younger gal was rude. The fried chicken was over cooked and dry. The coup de grace was when I got the receipt, the owner had put the credit card charge that he incurs on my bill. I hope he realizes that $2.22 was taken off of the tip. It’s not the job of the clientele to pay for credit card charges. All that aside I would be willing to give it another try only next time I’m bringing cash. lol

A group of us went from Morton to try out Joe’s place because we had heard good things about it. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. Although the menu is huge with all kinds of choices , We all had prime rib and ribeyes which were superb, and it came with potato and salad. It was worth the drive and made for a great evening. Would recommend it.

Fast and friendly service. Food was fresh and very good. Steak was cooked well and a very fresh salad bar. Not a lot of options for veggies on the bar but what was there was fresh. Prices were moderate. The ribeye was about $24 but a nice cut of meat and tasted very good.
