We’re Billy’s Ice Cream Store, and we’ve been a leading ice cream shop here in Adel, IA, since 2015. We believe in impeccable customer service, Billy would like each customer to feel like her best friend and offers a variety of ice cream flavors, shakes, malts, burgers, walking tacos and more! We started this business to bring joy to the community through tasty treats and welcoming atmosphere. We’re looking forward to growing our business to continue to serve Dallas County, where we’ve been voted favorite place for ice cream, and the surrounding areas. Yumm yumm in my tum tums, good ice cream but they really need to pay attention to the orders. Two times we were very specific about the flavor for the ice cream and two times they kept giving us vanilla. We ordered Banana Split with the mix of chocolate, mix and vanilla and still got vanilla. Last time we ordered Brownie sundae with one of the specialty ice cream flavors and still got vanilla… Not sure how else we need to communicate. Still, glad to have them so close in Adel!

This little ice cream shop is everything a neighborhood spot should be—affordable, welcoming, and delicious. The prices are more than fair (a rare treat these days!), which means I can actually treat the whole family without wincing at the total.
The staff is always friendly and patient—even when we’re being those people who can’t decide between cookie dough and birthday cake.

Billy’s is a great place to stop for ice cream and a bite to eat. The beef burgers are great! I always love getting a warm brownie sundae. The brownies are homemade and delicious. The owner seems so great. We love stopping here, so good!

Prices are very reasonable. 5 of us had ice cream for $20. Portions are bigger than you think with all the toppings if you choose.

Cute local shop, fast service, popular. The soft serve was very creamy and delicious and the Michigan Mud was new for me. It had chocolate and some other chocolate substance in it. Good though and sweet!

Everyone here is super friendly and always working hard. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait because they are always so busy (but it’s worth it!). A great variety of treats on their list and they are priced very fairly. While you wait, you can sit in the patio seating area in front of the store and let your kids harass passing semi drivers to honk at them! Awesome little establishment!

I found Billys online when I was looking up the best ice cream places in Iowa. This location came up to be famous for their butterbeer shake and the lemon. I decided to go with the lemon and while it was good I wouldnt say it was anything fancy. I will say their customer service was efficent and I liked how they had outdoor seating with umbrella shade for the kiddos on hot days like yesterday. I think I would visit again but Id switch it up and try something different.

Extremely disappointed that this ice cream shop doesn’t offer a Dari free option at all times. When there is 15 ice cream choices in the freezer, I don’t think it’s too much to ask to have one of them be a sherbet consistently. It’s so hard when you have a child who is dairy free, but have siblings who want to go out for ice cream and you have to tell them that there’s nothing there for them.
