I work part time in the area and often need a quick early dinner. I discovered Monkey Sushi earlier this year and was surprised at the freshness of the sushi, and the variety of the menu. I usually get a roll and some nigiri and have not been disappointed. There are a few seats where you can eat in, but I think most people come for take out.

The service was quick. I used the self service and the food came out soon after. There’s not much seating but it’s great food. I was with my partner and we each got a lunch combo. The amount of food was great, especially for the price. We filled up on what we got. We were very pleased with the entire experience. It’s very casual but it’s great for a quick and fresh bite. Prices are not bad but definitely check your order to make sure it’s the right one. I ordered the Spicy Makimono Set yet none of my rolls (it’s made by 3 different spicy rolls) were spicy. That order also comes with miso soup which was not in the bag so I had to go back and request it. Sushi tastes very bleak – not really good. I guess you get what you pay for ♀️ also, they charge extra if you pay with a CC just fyi!

The female employee I spoke with was very kind. She saw me looking at the menu through the glass door, and encouraged me to come inside and take advantage of their BOGO bubble tea promo. I thought such a deal was too good to be true, but there was no catch of any kind – we could even order our second drink from a different category as the first drink. For example, the first drink could be from the Milk Tea menu while the second could be from the Fruit Tea menu.
I ordered two of the Purple Potato Milk Tea (with oat milk instead of dairy milk), and paid just $7.84 USD in total. The drink was large, and tasted great.
So on the basis of flavor, quantity, price and service, I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

One star because we ordered online and the websites was hijacked by another restaurant that’s based in Queens. So if you’re ordering online on the stores website or on Uber eats beware because you will not get your food. We called the store to let them know and they also knew but didn’t do anything!
