My suggestion is to go hungry! Excellent burgers & fries! I had the BBQ Bleu Cheeseburger – one of the best burgers I have ever had! My husband loved his burger with an egg on top. The strawberry rhubarb pie was amazing and we really enjoyed our bloody marys! We enjoyed chatting with the owner, staff & locals – very fun! And the food was so good, we returned for breakfast the next day. This will always be a stop for us if we are traveling through this area.

Definitely a good place to stop for a meal when passing through. Extensive menu with breakfast served all day. My friend and I were there for lunch and both opted for the BBQ bacon cheeseburger. A thick beef patty cooked medium-well. It tasted fine. Very good fries. Refills on fountain drinks. All the staff were very friendly as were the other diners. When passing through these parts in the future, I’ll plan on stopping for a meal. You should too.

Friendly staff and homemade from scratch food. Please stop in on road trips and support locally owned business! Great conversation and better drinks. Enjoy back roads goodness. We dove in during hail storm for respite and drinks before going to Cowboy Dinner Tree. Go!

This is a slice of Americana, something out of a magazine, stories are written about places like this, characters are drawn here…its like walking onto a movie set with gourmet quality, home spun hand crafted food to the nth degree! The biscuits and sausage gravy melt in your mouth, the 1/2 LB hamburger is delicious being cooked on a flat top as it should be, the Bloody Mary is out of this world with a delicious tang and go ahead, get yourself a Margarita too, the mixes for both are house made and Oh soooo good! I was lucky enough to have 2 meals here, and already look forward to returning to this gem. Make this stop, treat yourself to an incredible meal at the Silver Lake Cafe & Bar. And you’ll be supporting a locally owned business, you’ll be glad you did…

This small bar and grill is friendly, delicious and homey. The club sandwich was massive, incredible and has made me a fan. The owner is a master with food and conversation.

This place was a welcome site! We drove for hours, and then we found Silver Lake Cafe. We walked in and were welcomed like we were locals. The ladies there are awesome. The food was amazing. The service was just as amazing! I had a BLT and onion rings. It was so good. My husband had a cheese burger that he said was delicious. If you find yourself in Silver Lake, stop in. You won’t be disappointed. I also give 2 thumbs up for the coffee too.

Came across this place after a day trip to Fort Rock. I’m over on a road trip from the UK, so I was craving some authentic US hospitality and this is the best place for it.

The owner, Maria was amazing and so kind. She sat with us for quite some time and told us the history of herself and the bar and how it all came to be. Worth going just to hear that!

We will definitely be back

We stopped here on a recent trip through the area and grabbed lunch. Walked in and was immediately greeted by the waitress with a happy smile. Ordered the Club Sandwich and my travel companion had a hamburger. You better be hungry because the club sandwich is HUGE! Toasted golden brown with generous helpings of meat and veggies. Fries are homemade fresh cut and cooked to perfection. Delicious lunch! No room left over to try the German Chocolate cake but it looked yummy.

Great little cafe and bar! We stopped there twice on a weekend trip in the area. Sat in the bar one of the times for a few drinks before eating at the Cowboy Dinner Tree, good conversation with the owner and bartender. Came back for lunch. We had the bacon cheeseburger and adult grilled cheese. Too many good dessert options to pick from. Very good homestyle spot! Recommend stopping by when you’re in the area.
