The interior of the buildings were really cool. A lot of old signs and memorabilia. Old bowling alley you can use also pinball and arcade games. Service was great, fast, and friendly. Some menu items were not there. The fish and chips were okay but none of the food really had any taste. It was all pretty bland. Onion rings were good. Mixed drinks were a little week but it did reflect that in the price. There was a band setting up as were we finishing our dinner. Really cool place over all. Would recommend stopping off there if your driving through the town. Found out this place and several other buildings around town are owner by film producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

My husband and I were driving through the night and pulled to the first exit with food. This is the place we found ourselves on a random Thursday evening and WE LOVED IT!
Small town karaoke, all generations hanging out, amazing burgers and fries, onion rings??? What a fun vibe. Will definitely pass through this little town again! These are the true hidden gems in KY

Great place all around. Drove a bit to get there and it is definitely worth taking trip! Arissa and all the staff were attentive and welcoming. The wings were some of the best I’ve ever had and the southern burger was perfectly done. The drinks were mixed just right and served with a smile.

Would love to be able to actually give a review of how good the food is supposed to be. But I walked in sat down, noting they were not busy and actually sent somebody home while I was there, but never got served. Three other tables got served with with 2 to 6 people that came in after I did. I love historic places and the initial atmosphere was good but I can’t read the food as I was never given a chance to order and eat and the service well that’s why I left so those two got nothing.

Ernie’s Tavern is such a great time! The staff is always so welcoming and kind! We have been there multiple times and every time has been truly perfect. We have met Patty, Darlene, Arissa, and Holly and we just love how they are always so friendly and wonderful. Their service is fabulous. They have great musicians who add to the amazing time we have. Most recently John Langley was playing and he was awesome! We cannot wait to see him again soon. We have had Patty’s cakes and they are all fantastic! We have had their onion rings, fried green tomatoes, and their boneless chicken wings and they were excellent too. We highly recommend Ernie’s! A huge shout out to everyone at Ernie’s for making our visits so memorable for me, my family, and friends. We appreciate you!

Loved the atmosphere and what they’ve done. Never ending fun things to look at. Like a museum, I’d say food was fairly average, not bad. Service was a little unorganized and slow but kind, still glad we made it there and would be back. Worth the drive from Louisville

We have visited Ernie’s Tavern and The Double Dip over a dozen times in the past few months. We absolutely LOVE this establishment and always have a great time here! We are so impressed with the level of excellent service we always receive from everyone on the staff here! Darlene, Arissa, and Patty and everyone else there, always take such great care of us. And Patty’s homemade butterfinger cake is jaw dropping delicious! We all loved it!!!
The music this past Sunday with John was a blast, and everyone in our group really enjoyed his performance so much! We hope to get to see him again in the future.
Thank you all so much for making our visits so perfect every single time we come here! You all always go above and beyond for us and we appreciate it so much!

Didn’t come to eat, just to bowl. The place is so neat and nostalgic with the old signs, bowling alley, and soda fountain! The bowling is fun and reasonable, the staff is a sweet and helpful, and the whole place has a great vibe. The sweet tea is on point!

Check out this spot where a local neighborhood bar meets a tourist attraction! With vintage signage and random pieces of movie memorabilia, it’s a visual treat. The KY Bourbon BBQ bacon chicken sandwich is beyond delicious, and the waitress was incredibly accommodating to our party of 12. Plus, the hand-dipped ice cream was a hit with the kids!
