We enjoyed breakfast at the Rock Garden Eatery for the two days that we stayed at the Red Sands Hotel. Service was excellent, although the first day we had to wait longer than we preferred due to a large family table that arrived before us. We were amazed at the enormous portions and shared one breakfast order for the two of us. The attached photo shows ½ of one order.

We visited this place for both dinner and breakfast since everything else around was closed in November. Despite being very busy at dinner, with just one waitress on duty, she managed things impressively well. In the morning, the atmosphere was peaceful and quiet, making for a nice start to the day. The food was better than expected—simple but satisfying. It’s a solid spot if you’re staying in the area during the off-season and looking for a decent meal when options are limited.

We were staying at hotel and stopped by the restaurant for breakfast. I ordered simple boiled eggs and asked if they could make some steamed vegetables, even though it wasn’t on the menu. The waitress was very polite and happily said yes. Everything was prepared quickly and with care. My boyfriend ordered a full breakfast, which was also good — the hashbrowns weren’t cooked all the way through, but they still tasted great. Great service and a pleasant atmosphere — a perfect start to the day.

I didn’t have high expectations for The Rock Garden Eatery but Torrey is a very small town with limited eating options for a vegetarian and they did have a few vegetarian dishes.
I was very pleasantly surprised!!!
Staff were charming and the food excellent.
My hummus was very tasty and served with tons of pitta bread.
My quinoa salad had an excellent dressing and stuffed full of avocado, chopped cucumber, peppers, tomatoes and onions.
Really pleased I gave it a try.

I had come here for dinner. They had a good atmosphere and the service was pretty average-good! In terms of the food, the chicken was a interesting texture. The cheese for the Alfredo was almost nacho cheese. I couldn’t finish the meal, as I was leaving I felt as though I may throw up. On a good note they had a lot of parking, however I would not recommend coming here for an dinner services.

I had the quinoa bowl and it was delicious! My husband, on the other hand, had the beef lasagna. It was not edible. Something was spoiled in it. Server said the other 2 people that had it earlier said it was delicious. I’m confident had we eaten it, we would have been hugging the toilet all night. All he offered was 10% off, which we should have received anyways for staying in the hotel. Not worth the money!

Staying at the Red Sands Hotel. so the restaurant was convenient, but it was also a wonderful meal. Hector took good care of us. I had quinoa bowl with steak, and every component was fresh and tasty. My wife had chicken kebabs which were nicely finished and seasoned. More than she could eat, so I, had the chance to help her finish it up. Recommended.
