When my parents moved to Iowa, I thought it was over for korean food. Before moving, I lived fairly close to a korea town in NJ, and all I knew about Iowa was it had corn.
Boy, am I glad I found this place. Everything we ordered today was just perfect. We had the summer ice noodles to beat the heat (one of my favorite foods ever), and this is THE place to get it in Iowa.
The sides we got were great too! The k-chicken was crispy and juicy. It was fresh out too, so I had to wait a little because it was so hot.
The kimbap seems to be rolled fresh when ordered, too. I could taste the difference in temperature and flavor of the individual ingredients. If you can get a roll and eat it right away, that’s the way to go.
I’ll be with my parents over the summer and I think I’ll be coming here as many times as I can.

When I saw seafood pancakes on the menu, I headed straight over from my doctors appointment. Upon arrival, not only did they not have Seafood pancakes on the menu, but it seemed like most of their menu had been neutered.
Nevertheless, I pressed on and ordered the Spicy Pork/K chicken bowl. Delicious! I had the few bites that I could and took the rest home. Microwaved it when I got home, but it just… Something was off. Made me sick later in the night.
I think this is a great place for eating in/ at the mall while studying, but if you have a long drive like I did, probably pass on it.

Food itself was just weird. The flavor was weird and lacked the authentic Korean flavors. I ordered the spicy chicken bowl, and didn’t get the noodles that were advertised in the picture and description when ordering. It was just lettuce, overcooked soggy rice, and the weird tasting fried chicken bits.
Kimbap lacked flavor— it was mostly rice and the fillings inside had no flavor.

I initially thought the prices were a tad high, but once the food came out, I realized it might actually be pretty generous. For context, I can take down a pretty hefty meal in one sitting. I got two meals out of one order. The staff was friendly, and the food came out in about 10 minutes. Really nice spot.

We have had dinner here several times since they have opened. We have tried most of the things on the menu and all of them tasted great. I particularly like the K-chicken on rice and the dumpling soup. The lady behind the counter has always been very nice and friendly to us.

We got the special (dumpling soup) and it was so good! We will definitely be coming back. The owners/staff were extremely nice. Definitely recommend this place if you want a rice bowl or soup.
