After taking a break from here following a couple subpar visits, it was time to give it another chance. Found myself pleasantly surprised. A very attentive staff and – unlike our last couple of visits – a meal that delivered in flavor and freshness. Its close proximity to our home in Smithville provides another consideration to try it again.

We tried this new restaurant nearby last weekend and we enjoyed our lunch there. Got our table straight away and our waiter was genuinely polite and attentive. He told us it was his 3rd day and he was able to help us with the menu. My grilled shrimp was very good & flavorful. The chicken enchilada met the expectations too. We know we will go back for more, that’s for sure!

Considering that they advised us their restrooms were out of commission, this was a very good place to eat. And, there was plenty to take home my wife was not too crazy about the steak quesadilla but the chicken quesadilla was excellent

First and last time customers. We had a long day at the lake and was happy to sit down to eat at a Mexican restaurant. 1st issue: tried to wash our hands but the women’s restroom had zero paper towels or soap. We ended up as a family in the men’s since they did have some. 2nd issue: only half of our order came out. That would have somewhat been okay if it was the kids but 1 was mine and 1 was one of the kids. 3rd issue: food was terrible. Refried beans had a bad flavor. I even had the thought of “how can you mess up refried beans?” Taco Pastor was a joke, the chicken and fries for the kids was horrible. Fries were cold and the chicken looked like it was over cooked and cardboard dust on the inside. 4th issue: they had Dasani water on the menu so I ordered that for my husband and I. We received tap water. 5th issue we had about 90% of food left on the table and the manager didn’t even really want to hear my husband out on how our experience was. Bottom line, Poor customer service and poor quality of food.

The fish Chimichangas are amazing. They’re served with Mango Pico de Gallo. The Shrimp Chimichangas are really good too. My son tried the Acapulco Chicken sampler and loved it. Their chips and salsa are good. If you want additional heat, ask for the hot sauce !

Today was my first time at La Fuente. I came with 2 of my besties and for fun food and relaxation. Our Server was Daniel he was super awesome and really nice. I read some reviews on here and decided to make my own decision, I’m so glad I did, cause they are obviously so wrong. Now I know folks have off days and things happen but today was not that day. Everything was soooo good the flavors took me back to my days back home in the valley of South Texas. If you are hungry for a really good meal come to La Fuente and ask for Daniel, he’s awesome and will take great care of you. Last thing, I ordered the Triple Minichangas and replaced the salad with rice and beans, I posted a pic below from the menu picture of the dish and also a picture of the dish they took back. That should tell you what I thought of the meal. Enjoy.

The food was good… got the pineapple fajitas and I’ve definitely never had anything like it anywhere else, so that was cool. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because although the server was friendly, he seemed rather impatient and I felt rushed to order, eat and pay.
