We are a small restaurant with good food and service located near the center of the community of Sawmills, just south of the Sawmills Fire Department. We sell breakfast all day! Great rolled omelets, pancakes, hash browns and more! We have great biscuits & gravy and breakfast biscuit sandwiches too! We have 3 sizes of burgers for lunch and dinner! We have a great patty melt too! Grilled sandwiches like our famous turkey melt and cold sandwiches like a BLT or turkey club. Definitely need to come. Chow down on some BBQ wings, brisket, or BBQ sandwich! Comfortable seating and great staff for you to dine in or Call-in your order and it will be ready for you to pick up! We have great prices and we also have daily specials!

It’s a hole in the wall place with amazing staff, delicious food, good decent country folk, and a granddaughter who makes fabulous homemade cakes from her grandma’s recipes! We shared a homemade strawberry cake-WOWZA! It tasted just like my Mama’s! I wanted to cry just thinking about my Mom. It’s not too far away. Just go the mountains for a day and visit this Cafe.

This appears to be a fairly new BBQ spot. The smoked pork had a good flavor to it and the BBQ sauce was tasty. The slaw could have used a little more flavor. The prices and portions were good.

I’ve eaten here a couple of times. My personal favorite is the chilly cheese coney with onion rings. I’m really picky about onion rings,too, and these are the BOMB! Wonderfully friendly staff, and very affordable prices, and the food is great as well. Definitely will keep coming back.

I stopped here for breakfast on my way to Lenoir. The cafe is small but very clean and the staff is very very friendly. The food was fresh and so good. The biscuits were my favorite part. They reminded me of my grandmother’s. I’ll definitely be stopping here again when I’m in the area.

I honestly don’t know how this place has such great reviews. Our food was awful. I got a 1/3lb burger that had an odd flavor and my fries were undercooked. My fiancés breakfast was greasy and overcooked, had no flavor, and the liver mush was paper thin. All of this for $31 and we couldn’t even eat it. We won’t be back.

I would highly recommend this. Cafe Breakfast was great and I have never tasted Biscuits that were so good. I always heard the saying they melted in your mouth well that’s what I thought eating their Biscuits. .I accidentally turned on wrong road but stopping here made it , the right road. WoW.

Ate there a couple days ago and it was fantastic! The food was made to perfection. Everything looked appetizing. It wasn’t just thrown on the plate. You could really tell that the cook takes pride in the food he puts out. The wait staff was delightful and the place was clean as a whistle. Not to mention the prices! Very affordable. I have to say what I experienced the other day was a far cry from the last time I ate there a couple months ago. It’s like a totally different place. I work out of town a lot but when I’m home this will be my regular spot from now on. Good job Sawmills Cafe. You’ve earned a loyal customer.
