They are currently byob. I believe they charge for cork fee.
Appetizer
– Siam platter
This is great for sharing as you get to sample the money bag, chives cake, chicken satay skewers
Entree
– Tomahawk short rib massaman curry
This was amazing! If you love curry, sweet coconut flavor, this is it. The meat is super tender. Served with pita, but I think this would be best served with rice
– kana moo krob
If you had roasted pork before, this is what is used to be stir fried with garlic and Chinese broccoli. The garlic flavor made everything super delicious. Came with a bowl of white rice and everyone that I went with went for seconds.
– chicken pad see ew
Typical pad see ew
Drinks
– iced Thai coffee
– iced Thai tea
Overall, highly recommend! I am definitely going to go back for the tomahawk curry, and the Siam platter!
The staff were very friendly and quite professional, but we came when they were very busy, per one of the staff members, so waited a little longer than usual for some service and dishes.
Most of the dishes were quite good and the portions were very generous, but a few did not have that Thailand flavor. I had Pad Kra Pow, Green Curry Chicken, and Tom Kha Coconut Soup with chicken, and my friend had Pad Thai and coconut ice cream.
The Pad Kra Pow was a good dish, but didn’t taste authentic. I saw basil in this dish, but i believe it was missing Holy Basil, a specific ingredient that makes this dish one of Thailand’s most popular choices. The Green Curry Chicken was quite delicious and hit the mark on tasting like authentic Thai cuisine, but the Tom Kha Coconut Chicken soup missed the mark and was my Ieast favorite dish, and didn’t come close to pleasing my palate. My friend enjoyed her usual choice of Pad Thai, but was annoyed because she asked for plain, but received the dish with jumbo shrimp. The coconut ice cream was a very tasty treat for dessert.
I will definitely return to this restaurant and try other dishes, because the ambiance was very nice and the food reasonably priced with good portions.
Hands down the best Thai food in Chicago!
The service is top-notch .Jack was incredibly attentive and helpful
throughout the meal.
Highly recommend ordering the
-Tom Yum. The flavor is beautifully balanced tangy, aromatic, and not too spicy. Though if you’re sensitive to heat, it might be a bit much, but still very flavorful.
-The Crispy Pork Basil (Pad Kra Pao) tasted authentically Thai, just like what you’d find in Bangkok.
-The Pad Thai and the Siam Platter are absolute must-tries bold, delicious, and well-portioned.
Also, it’s a BYOB spot, so feel free to bring your favorite drink.
We ordered 5–6 dishes, and the total was just $130 a great deal considering the generous portion sizes and quality.
Highly recommended!
We also got the seafood tom yom and tom kha coconut soup. The tom yum soup had calamari, shrimp and mussels. The coconut soup had lovely hints of lemon grass. Flavors are again delicious . Got the fried calamari too, that was okayish.
Amaziiiing service !!! Lovely staff So happy to eat here
The food, unfortunately, was very disappointing. We’re big fans of Thai cuisine, but this place was well below expectations. The chicken in multiple dishes did not feel properly cooked. The chicken satay was just okay. The chicken fried rice was the worst, the chicken still felt raw and the rice had no flavor. The chicken pad thai wasn’t good either.
The Thai tea was the only item we actually enjoyed.
Given the pricing and the quality of food, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.
Unfortunately, the chicken in my Pad Thai was raw, which immediately ruined my appetite and made it difficult to enjoy the rest of the meal. The staff offered to replace the dish, so I ordered fried rice instead, but that order was accidentally delivered to another table. I ended up waiting nearly 20 minutes for it, which added to the frustration.
Service throughout the evening felt slow and somewhat uninterested in resolving the issues that had occurred. While the green Thai curry and dumplings were actually quite okay, they weren’t enough to make up for the problems with the main dish and the service delays.
Overall, the restaurant has great ambiance and plating, but unfortunately the execution and service really need improvement.
I highly recommend trying the fried fish salad “Garden Fish” with mango—it was outstanding—and the Pad Kara Pao, which was packed with flavor. Mango sticky rice dessert was amazing. The presentation of each dish was also top-notch. A place I’d definitely recommend and return to.
The ambiance was warm and casual, and service was friendly, if a bit relaxed at times. Great spot for a low-key dinner when you’re craving Thai comfort food. We’ll definitely be back to try more dishes.
