With 20 years of experience in the bar industry, I have concerns regarding certain incidents I have witnessed. I previously attempted to address these issues via phone call, but unfortunately, no one answered despite the presence of approximately seven people inside the bar. The bartender from earlier that evening was engaged in playing pool, and she suggested I message Ted, Sherri, or Kahunas on Facebook.
During my previous visit, I observed that your bartender Brandi, seemed inattentive when one of the old DJs arrived. She began yelling at her without provocation, creating an uncomfortable and unprofessional atmosphere. The old DJ rightly pointed out that Brandi was at fault to be talking to in tone that in a tone in front of everyone and told her to calm down and she left. I also witnessed Brandi bartending while intoxicated and making drinks, as well as her unprofessional treatment of a customer who was being ejected. Jay.. also while intoxicated talking mess in front of customers, about him. Furthermore, on the same evening, your new DJ was also intoxicated and passed out, requiring assistance to leave the premises.
Additionally, I have noticed that staff members frequently gather behind the bar and let others behind the computers even if its there friends or new people, they tend to place drinks on the pool table and go in the unisex bathrooms and go outside to do drugs…The old DJ consistently reminds the bartender to inform the younger to fix it.. so they don’t have the same results as she did or something bad happens.
I also recall an incident the other night where a patron was lying on the ground outside, and the old DJ instructed him to get up. There was also an individual, Chad, in the parking lot who appeared to be under the influence, and the old DJ questioned whether he was allowed to be there.
It seems that Marqui often covers for Brandi, and other bartenders assist when necessary but after drinking..which raises concerns.
Several industry colleagues and regular patrons have shared similar observations, suggesting that there may be underlying issues with the new employees and learning to keep it professional.. to pay attention to the patrons busy or not busy. There appears to be an increase in drug activity in and out and staying in cars and having parties outside.
While we all make mistakes, the unprofessional yelling and name-calling in front of customers was completely unacceptable..
I acknowledge that the old DJ has made significant improvements in her customer service skills, and I appreciate her continued support, even though she is no longer an employee. Although it is not her responsibility, she often provides valuable advice and assistance to the younger staff members.
I am proud of the bar and its new employees, and I hope this feedback will be helpful.
