This week we went to Hillsdale to visit some family and we were looking around for a coffee shop. We found this beautiful gem! The place is really cozy and very clean, the atmosphere is nice, the service was great and the drinks and sandwiches we ordered were delicious. The Cafe Au lait they make is fantastic and their lattes are amazing. Definitely a must place to visit if you’re in the area.

It was my first time coming here. Got a cold brew with sugar free syrup. They were very helpful and explained everything well and were so nice! My son got 2 cookies and they were delicious my coffee was better than i get at most other places! Will definitely be back!

The atmosphere of the place was amazing I felt right at home and felt more relaxed. I love the variety different coffee mixtures and choices of food to eat as well and I ended up buying myself a large iced black forest Coffee and it was extremely delicious! This little coffee shop is such a charming little place to enjoy a nice cup of coffee, cold or hot! We both enjoyed a nice frappe, the caramel and peanut butter are delicious!! They also serve food as well and sweets! I recommend coming to this coffee shop if you’re ever in the area or just want a place to enjoy a nice affordable beverage! I will definitely be coming back!

Since Jilly Beans has moved locations there is no longer a garden room, which is what made this coffee shop stand out from the others. The drinks are still good and prices for frappes are 1/2 off all other local coffee locations. It’s a nice place to dine and meet with others, but it has lost its cozy charm and warmth that it used to have. I enjoy working on my laptop there, but I have found that their hours change more often than other places, making it a less reliable location to schedule meet ups with clients or friends. It’s also noisier than other locations, the building is so tall that it carries sound and can be distracting. Overall, I favor their frappes over all others locally and their food is good too, but their environment has worked against them when I am trying to do anything apart from ordering coffee.

When I am traveling around and perusing reviews for good espresso ( not frappes and sweet drinks, but actual black coffee/espresso), I don’t care if the barista smiled and welcomed people. I want to know if they source good quality, well-roasted beans; I want to know if their machine and grinder can pull me a delicious espresso with those beans. At this coffeehouse in Hillsdale, I was made a drinkable Americano, not full-bodied, perhaps too much water…but, it was okay.

ordered ahead of time and never was told a time or was asked for a name. i got there, paid 19 dollars for a sandwich, a matcha, and fruit (kind of excessive pricing!!?) and was on my way. the matcha was disgusting, so disappointed. i’ve never had an issue with matcha until today. the panini was alright, i didn’t mind it and the fruit seemed fine. just super upset with pricing and how my drink turned out.
