Red Shrimp Chinese Restaurant on Jones is one of our place’s on the restaurant rotation. We actually enjoy eating the food here. We are usually here for the lunch specials for take out. Great menu options. Good Portions for the lunch specials. I like that the lunch specials come with Rice or Steam Rice, 1 Egg Roll and small Egg Flower Soup aka Egg Drop Soup. However, I always upgrade the rice to their Vegetable Lo Mein. Noodles are my favorite! Friendly staff and limited seating. Good food, we are always satisfied and no problems.

Going in I was worried from reviews, and how it looked as I walked in. On the outside the place looks like it’s a bit old and in need of repair, and the owners were just relaxing near the entrance with no one else nearby. But I found they had great quality, variety, service, and prices! Was very impressed that PanPan combination had all (in a single plate), Chashu, BBQ rib, crab Rangoon, shrimp tempura, and spring rolls. The fried items were all decently fresh, and wasn’t discolored or unusually hard to bite. The meat slices are a bit small, but for the price and quality overall it’s good if you enjoy classic Chinese dishes

Great. $10.57 sesame chicken lunch special with an ice cold coke, can’t beat it.

Food is delicious and big servings for $11.
I didn’t care much about the eggrolls. Yummy, but mostly wrapper. Although we got the eggrolls free with our orders, we only had a bite. Aside from the eggrolls, everything in our orders were delicious and an entree that comes with rice can definitely feed two people.
I got the Shrimp in fermented black beans and I love that a lot of veggies were included. The veggies were done perfectly. Fresh and still crunchy the way I like it.
The furnitures inside look old, but very clean which is most important. The floors the same, but spotless.
We almost didn’t want to go in judging from how the building looks from the outside, but we went in anyways since we were already there and I’m glad we did.

I don’t understand the bad reviews at all. My family & I order from here all the time, probably once a week. Their food is amazing especially for the price, you pay $7-$8 for a packed to-go box of fried rice/lo mein. We spend like $20-$30 and it feeds 4 adults and sometimes with leftovers. I tell everyone about this place because I love it so much, they make it fast too. Food quality is always good & consistent. Never ordering from another chinese food place again.

The food is fantastic here. High quality beef and chicken used in their dishes with generous portions served with fast friendly service. So for about half the price of most places nearby in Chinatown. This place is a true gem!

Very friendly service at the counter, inside the restaurant looks like it’s been there since the ’70s and is kind of dingy but clean with very limited seating. The food was okay middle of the road not great but certainly not bad either! The egg roll was a small crispy spring roll (about as big as a finger) since there wasn’t much inside, there really wasn’t much flavor either. The fried rice was a decent sort of New York style, and my Kung Pao chicken was okay. The only disappointment was the Wonton soup, which had so many wonderful vegetables, but I disliked the dumplings and broth .

So this place looks sketchy not going to lie but their food is good! I got chicken lo mein & some vegetable fried rice. The fried rice 10/10. The noodles 7/10 too plain not enough flavor. The prices are ok and the staff is friendly.

I’ve ordered take out grub here many times, but always forgot to review it.
This time I ordered General Tsos Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, Thai Noodles and Hot and Sour Soup. With orders over a certain amount, the white rice and two egg rolls are free
The General Tsos Chicken is always the best, more like orange chicken.. The Thai noodles are really Phad Thai, and don’t use as much fish sauce as the real thing (which is a good thing for me). The Shrimp Fried Rice is bland – with eggs and bean sprouts. The Hot and Sour Soup is only whole mushrooms with egg drop – no bamboo shoots, chicken or lao tofu. Previously I’ve had the Kung Pao Chicken, just so-so.
Ate here again and had the Shrimp with Vegetables and Curry Chicken. The first was very good, the second dish had an ok flavor but was very saucy.
Overall, not the best but the price, generous quantities, and quick service keep me coming back
Np tofu dishes at all.

I go to red shrimp to get Chinese food when I visit Las Vegas while staying at the Rio. It’s super quick and easy to get there on the bus too.
