Best fish fry in Burlington hands down with really good service. Prices are extremely reasonable. A must stop if you like a good fish fry. However, I do wish they would put a ramp up to make it easier to get inside. But that’s a minor detail.

I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries. It was delicious!!
The inside is a little cramped, but all around a good place.

We had a good time on a Wednesday night. First time there and Todd the bartender made us feel like we’ve been going there for years.
Hamburgers were done perfectly! Atmosphere was great. We will definitely be back.

Suggested to try this place by a work colleague, Fish Fryday it was and it did not disappoint great food, wonderful staff and literally a buzzing atmosphere. If you are in the neighborhood, do yourself a favor and drop in.

Visited last week (Wednesday) shortly after opening (11 am), per recommendation from the local True Value.
Had a takeout order of double burgers, wings and onion rings.
Friendly cashier (said he was a recent hire) and a very nice lady in charge – she did everything.
Food was outstanding.
Travel quite a bit (recently got back from Texas and Tennessee) and can’t recall when I’ve had better versions of my order from Chris’s USA.
Had concerns due to prior recommendations from locals in Wisconsin “you’re gonna love these burgers” Of highly rated restaurants in SE WI – they were terrible. Meatloaf patties between buns that were overloaded with garlic salt.
Another common disappointment is variations of chicken loaded with salt (is salty food a Wisconsin thing?).
The food from Chris’s was excellent.
It was how (I think) it should be – the burgers and wings let the tastes stand on their own. Beef and chicken – nothing poured over to cover the natural flavors.
Thank you to the employees in the sports section of Reineman’s True Value for the outstanding recommendation of Chris’s USA.
Of course, thank you to the friendly cashier and the very kind lady in charge when I visited Chris’s USA.

Update: have had a stomach ache since an hour after eating here. Not sure if the food was properly prepared. Removing 1 star.
Very conflicted writing this because the food was great but the atmosphere was not. Decided to stop in for lunch since we had driven past so many times. Was immediately met by a dark, smelly bar, and glares from the regulars. The regulars continued to glare at us and shoot us suspicious looks throughout our meal. Bartender was polite and the food was great and very reasonably priced. If you are young and not a regular, save yourself the awkwardness and order carry out or go somewhere else. Also, this place is marketed as a restaurant with a bar. This is false. This is at its core a bar, that also happens to serve food. Had we known that, obviously we would not have casually stopped in for lunch, because it’s not that kind of place. Disappointed because the food was very nice .

One of my favorite spots! The owners and her bartenders are awesome and seem to really enjoy their jobs. I love coming by on weekdays for one of the daily specials, especially the Italian beef on Thursdays.

First time trying the fish fry. The perch was tasty, the potato pancakes and baked cod was excellent! Very friendly service! We will be back!

Baked cod was horribly overcooked & chewy soaking in butter. The fish came out first i had to wait for potato pancakes and applesauce & bread. The potato pancakes fell apart didn’t seem like there was anything binding them together. Overall it wasn’t a good experience. The fried fish looked better than the cod.

The Friday fish fry was delicious. Some of our group had cod, I had the bluegill. All the food came out hot and crispy, plus the potato pancakes were good too. I’ll be back to try the Italian beef special on Thursday. We did have to wait at the bar for a table but it was well worth the wait.
