Today was the day that I had tried the new breakfast menu and it was wonderful. The biscuits were very good the gravy was excellent and had enough in the portion to satisfy the biscuits it accompanied and even some hash browns on the side. Which were also cooked perfectly. My medium eggs were cooked to perfection it was wonderful a lot of times I have been in places that struggle with that but not here. I will definitely be back for breakfast again. In the meantime I will continue coming for pie, pie and more pie!

I had 2 pancakes with bacon and scrambled eggs. The pancakes were great but the eggs and bacon were really fantastic! Totally simple fare done well. The restaurant is in an old diner that still has the vintage interior. I’ll be back for pie next time!

This place is a gem! The owner took the time to introduce himself and share the history of the restaurant. It’s a very fascinating story. The food is homemade and the homemade pies were so good we not only had some there, but took some home for the next day. This will be a “must stop” place for us whenever we are in the area.

We love going for breakfast here, such a great deal and great breakfast. Menu is small but we like that. We love getting a Denver omlette and an order of pancakes with strawberry sauce and split them between us.

Me and my girlfriend came here for breakfast and the waitress was nice, we got our food relatively quick, the food was pretty decent, at least standard. Unfortunately before even being able to finish the food I suddenly began feeling sick and had to rush for the bathroom. Due to the fact that this is the only food I (tried) to eat today i feel its a fair assertion that the food caused my sudden sickness. On top of that the single waitress was having difficulty keeping up as she was the only waitress/ clerk available and by the time my ordeal in the bathroom concluded my girlfriend still wasn’t able to pay and we had to wait another 10 minutes. I understand things happen and I don’t wish to disparage the restaurant but I do feel today perhaps wasn’t it’s best day. Keep up the good work

The new breakfast menu is awesome and I really enjoyed my omelet! The cooks are top notch and the service is great. Very happy to have a good breakfast place downtown and of course the lunch and dinner are also great options. Don’t forget your pie on the way out!

Great place! Just like the Wagon Wheel of Yore, it’s reasonably priced and service is very fast. Great, simple diner breakfast food. Also, it’s the only spot downtown you can get breakfast everyday other than the HyVee Deli.

A group of residents came from Old Main Village. They wanted me to share that the pie was great and the food was awesome! They are glad you are continuing your legacy. The pictures on the wall are also very interesting and a part of the nostalgia, just like Old Main Village, that makes The Dam Store Cafe part of our history here in the area.
