This is a wonderful little restaurant with amazing food. The owner is kind, welcoming and charming. The food is delicious and made with care- not just the basic hummus etc of the average Mediterranean restaurant- a whole litany of interesting, unique, tasty dishes. It is a great atmosphere, with food served in good portions on very nice tableware. The service was great. Very reasonable prices- excellent value for money.

Small beautiful Armenian restaurant; ALL homemade food, including desserts!

Absolutely the best!
We came in for a brunch. The restaurant felt like I’m back home , at my mom’s kitchen. Sucha nice family vibe.
Everything is so clean, and well prepared.

The food was tremendous! We cannot wait to go back and try more dishes.
The combo salads plate has 6 different salads. Each salad has an unique taste, something you’ve never tried before!!!

Everything was made to perfection.
The owner complimented us with a couple of desserts to take home. She was so sweet, and carrying!

P.S Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience ! We will be back soon❤️❤️❤️

What a beautiful experience and restaurant rich in aesthetics, culinary skill, service and history. The owner is SUPER kind. Ararat is where Noah’s arc landed after the flood. Wish we could stop here more often. Couldn’t have had a better experience!! The food was absolutely DELICIOUS and everything was homemade from scratch. Try everything on the menu. You won’t be disappointed!

Terrible experience for a special event at this restaurant that was new to us that we wanted to try. I called ahead for reservations, but arrived to find a party of 15 (with 3 kids on loud iPads) dominating the space. The restaurant never told me that they were booked up for a private party which would have been fine I couldn’t booked a different day. A guest directed me to knock on the kitchen door for staff; manager lectured me about the ‘open’ front door (it was closed) and cold air—until I proved it and she calmed down. Sat us in a crammed corner so as to not interfere with her table of 15. Right off the bat was rude to us and even worse to her staff that seemed to be overwhelmed. I’ve never seen a restaurant manager so rude to the staff for no reason.

The entire time we ate there were kids on the couch right next to us with their loud devices. Halfway through, the ‘private’ party launched a loud dance session with a speaker, dimmed lights so I couldn’t see my food, and blasted music killing our conversation. The restaurant forgot an order—I tried canceling since I lost my appetite yet she forced delivery and charged us anyway.

Felt like a club environment/daycare center the entire time

Tried to be a gentleman and went to kitchen (no staff visible); so that I could discretely get the check and was told she had to go to our table to ‘count’ plates, spoiling the surprise for my guests. Then told me how much I should tip, I had to use zelle on my phone because her reader wasn’t working while she sat with us at our table. Below-average food, overpriced— small tasteless salad should not $13. Wasn’t sick next day luckily.

I generally don’t like leaving bad reviews, but this is one of those times I just can’t hold back. I had a very disappointing experience. Every dish was bland and looked nothing like the photos shown on the menu. And most importantly… please don’t ruin the taste of Georgian cuisine! The khinkali and Adjarian khachapuri tasted nothing like they’re supposed to — they were completely off from the authentic Georgian flavor .

If you’re looking for real, authentic Georgian food and flavors , this is not the place. (For example “Kitchen house” in wheeling)
I won’t be coming back. I’m truly disappointed.

Imagine going to eat at some one’s house… it is a lot like that! Freshly home-made food that is comforting. The plates and forks are a throw back of my grandmas dishes but I loved it. It made me feel like we were special guests at a tea party. Service was slow and that’s why I took one star away, but service was friendly enough. Our waitress didn’t speak fluent English so she did not seem confident to speak much with us but she understood us alright. I recommend going for the lunch specials because ordering a la carte was a little pricey. I will go back to try more dishes!!

I visited Ararat restaurant hoping to try something from the menu, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. When I asked if they had a burrito-style wrap, the owner became offended and asked me to leave, stating that they only serve “professional food.” I was surprised by this reaction, as I was simply inquiring about the menu options.

I found the customer service to be unwelcoming and dismissive. I would caution others who are looking for a friendly, accommodating dining experience.

Not being very familiar with Armenian food, I asked for some recommendations and was not disappointed. Everything was delicious. The woman even literally brought out all the desserts so I could pick one out. I felt uneasy at first, as I sometimes do, going into Eastern European establishments (I am over 50% eastern european, but I don’t “look” like it), but the lady made me feel very welcomed and took very good care of me. I would certainly return again. There was some berry juice with the actual berries that sat at the bottom and was brought a spoon so I could get every last amazing piece out.
