This place is the best! We LOVE the chilaquiles (and fresh Orange juice). Staff is friendly and make every visit great!

Even though this restaurant has been here for a long time, it’s my first time trying it. The restaurant inside is clean nice the service is excellent and the food is very good and authentic Mexican food. I had flautas and tostadas de tinga.

Service here sucks. No napkins or cutlery, had to ask for it. Only provided one napkin. Had to ask for a water refill. The girls are just at the counter talking instead of giving us my bill. Zero tip for this terrible services. Asked for guacamole, didn’t get it, and they charged for it. This place is trash, the chicken in the chicken mole was bad. I will never go back to this place. I will never recommend a friend to go here. It’s a trash restraunt.

so I’m going to be honest we originally wanted to eat across the street but just didnt have the time to wait we had a appointment @2pm so I saw this place and it was pretty dead so I was kind of sketch but we took the risk and it didn’t disappoint. prices were fair food was quick and really good. The service was ok, and the place had a great Mexican feel.i would go back if I was in the area again. oh,nI forgot to mention it was only $106 for 6 adults with 4 drinks and 2 waters

It’s unique blend of spices and freshness is what stands out at this restaurant. I was never a fan of mole until I ate it here. The complexities of each spice stands out at El Pueblo. They do this dish justice with the rich flavors bursting in your mouth with hints of cinnamon, oregano, chocolate, and clove among the many other ingredients in this dish. I came here twice to check the consistency of the dish which was spot on if not better the second time around.

Our go-to Mexican restaurant in Newhall. Al pastor and steak tacos are highly recommended. I personally like their menudo and shrimp tostada.
Staff are awesome, too!

Chorizo Breakfast Burrito! Finally, someone is not afraid to put some chorizo in that burrito!! The accompanying homemade salsa could be a little more picoso, but the great flavors really shined through. Because I am diabetic I did take out the tortilla. My sugar stayed stable. But here is the best part….

MEXICAN COFFEE con canela!!! Cinnamon coffee at its finest. Not every Mexican food restaurant serves it, and it is disappointing not to have it. You might want to ask them for an Abuelita Chocolate Triangle to add to your coffee. I happen to have had one left over from my trip to Cabo. If enough of you ask…. who k ows… You won’t be disappointed!! They make it fresh and it is delicioso!

Service was fast and friendly but not rushing me out. Parking might be a challenge. I am looking at coming on the weekend to try their Menudo!!

“Avoid this restaurant unless you want to pay more”.
Food was good. However, they price on the menu and the actual bill is completely different. I don’t remember seeing anything more than $15 in the menu, but they charged $21.99. This is ridiculous pricing for this type of restaurant and food.
I’m not going back again.

We went to El Pueblo Restaurant because we promised my 4-year-old son that he would be able to eat a quesadilla at a Mexican Restaurant, one of his favorite experiences. The Mexican restaurant we had dinner at a bit earlier that evening did not have a kids menu, but did career to our vegetarian diet very well.

So we drove over to El Pueblo and ordered him a cheese quesadilla. While inside, I checked out their baked goods. Our earlier dinner was very light, so I also ordered a flan, a vanilla mantecadas (muffin), and an empanada with guava filling. We sat outside and enjoyed our goodies tremendously.

The desserts were all delicious! None was too sweet, and they tasted like homemade sweets. The crust of the empanada was flaky, but not too buttery, and the guava filling was flavorful from the ripened guava. The flan was also creamy and refreshing. My son loved his quesadilla, and ate every last crumb.

They are open for indoor dining, and the food is great. They even have an atmosphere with bands on weekend nights, although with the pandemic still not fully over, that may not have restarted yet. Being a family-owned and high quality establishment, El Pueblo Restaurant and Bakery needs our support so they may continue to service this community. Please drop by for lunch or dinner next time you feel like having a great Mexican meal or dessert.

I came in for a quick breakfast and the person working there was very nice. The food came out quick and it was delicious. It came with homemade corn tortillas and they were so good.
