⭐️⭐️⭐️ Foxhole Restaurant & Bar – Cambria Hotel Fort Mill, SC
Dined: June 19, 2025 (Evening)
I dined at Foxhole after checking into the Cambria Hotel following a long drive from New York for personal business. I had high hopes, but unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations.
Here’s the breakdown:
Burger – Nothing to be impressed with. Lacked seasoning, flavor, and just came across as average at best. Not something I’d return for.
Fries – These were the highlight of the meal—crisp, hot, and actually quite tasty. They did their job well.
Penne Primavera (Garlic & Oil) – This was disappointing. It came out more like a butter-based sauce with very little garlic presence. The flavor was bland and lacked the bright, garlicky punch you’d expect from this type of dish. The vegetables were tender and thankfully not over done.
Cocktail (Manhattan) – My drink, on the other hand, was excellent. Crafted by our server herself, the Manhattan was smooth, well-balanced, and genuinely enjoyable. She absolutely nailed it.
Service – The star of the night was our super friendly and attentive waitress, who also happened to be our bartender. Her professionalism and warmth really elevated the experience, and she deserves recognition for that.
Atmosphere – The vibe was laid-back and pleasant, with other hotel guests around. It had a nice social energy without being too loud. Great spot to grab a drink if you’re staying at the hotel.
Parking Alert – One big negative: even though we parked far out in the lot, our car still got dinged. Definitely something management should monitor better—either with cameras or more visible staff presence.
Overall Verdict:
I wasn’t impressed with the food and wouldn’t go out of my way to dine here again. That said, if I’m ever staying at the hotel again, I’d stop by the bar just for a cocktail—especially if that same wonderful server is working.

Our bartender, Janet, was outstanding!!! She makes delicious cocktail and couldn’t have been sweeter and very attentive. We’re locals, so when my husband said he wanted to take me here, I said “ to a hotel bar?” Anyhow, they had great reviews so we tried it out. They had a decent crowd, excellent service, tasty drinks and food. I had the bbq chicken flatbread and hubby had the club, both were delish. Great experience, we’ll be back.

Besides being an upbeat feel good place after work, the staff care about things. This hotel helps me when I’m home sick, missing my wife and babies.
The food at the restaurant is insanely yummy. The build a burger is so good, the meat is very good. The frufries is right, and they taste even better with their house ranch. The price is so worth it and the staff makes things snappy.

We love the Foxhole! The food is tasty and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. The real stars of this place, though, are the bartenders, Janet and David. They are so personable, kind, and welcoming, not to mention they make amazing cocktails! (Janet’s espresso martini is one of the best I have ever had) We are locals, so there are lots of competing places with similar vibes, but the service here is truly unmatched. We frequent the Foxhole often simply because Janet and David are some of the best bartenders around. Exceptional service with staff who truly care about doing a good job and making their guests feel at home.

Janet provided amazing customer service! She was very attentive and was able to clearly communicate regarding items on the menu. She took extra time and made the effort to make sure items were allergy friendly for me. She made excellent drink suggestions for us. Janet was very friendly and efficient in taking care of us. This restaurant and bar is located inside the Cambria hotel. Pricing is very good. We ordered nachos, shrimp tacos, wings and blackened Salmon x2 for our party. The ONLY issue was the salmon was a bit dry, flavor still very good. Wings were big and meaty, cook perfectly. My friend said the tacos were great as were the nachos. Service was excellent as well. If I lived in the area, this is a place I would come for dinner!

Had a very nice family dinner tonight, and the staff (Janet and another gentleman) were extremely friendly, especially to my 5 year old. It’s a nice place for a date night or cozy meal. The salads, soups, and appetizers are big portions. We had a good 1st experience and will be back.

I live near by and always would go to have dinner. On the 31st, I went and sat in table around 8:30 PM and the bartender (never saw him before), instead of coming to us and introduce himself, ask if we want the menus and say kitchen was closing at 9, on a very nasty mood yelled from the bar “if you want the menus you have to let me know now, kitchen closes at 9”
And then said to the customers he was serving “they just sat there” I simply got up and told the person with me “let’s go”.
The food was always good, but if this is the service they have now, there are a lot of restaurants with great food and way better service that can hide their sarcasm and displeasure.

Was told they only have 3 menus to share among everyone. Then, guests who sat down after I ordered my food, got their food before me. And another customer next to us was ignored when she asked to order her beverage, and again when ready to order her food.
Unsure if they were understaffed… but customer pay for quality service, food, and atmosphere. That server’s attitude on May 25th @9 AM was unacceptable!
