Dockers Waterfront Bar & Restaurant on Kelley’s Island is one of those places you end up talking about long after you leave. The atmosphere is perfect. It’s right on the water, laid-back, and exactly the kind of spot you want to visit when you’re on the island.
And I have to talk about the lobster martini because it’s honestly one of the most unique and delicious things they serve. It’s literally three lobster tails served in a glass of warm, melted butter with lemon. Sounds wild, but it tastes incredible. It’s rich, it’s fresh, and it feels like the most over-the-top island treat in the best way possible.
The food overall was great, the drinks were strong, and the staff made the whole experience even better. If you’re visiting Kelley’s Island, Dockers is absolutely a must-stop—especially for that lobster martini. You won’t forget it.

Always enjoy taking the boat over to kelly’s island and having a pleasant surprise… There’s a dozen places you can stop and get bar food. However, docker’s waterfront bar has really good food… A diverse menu Anybody can find either a small snack or a full entree, to satisfy their needs.Great drinks too… I’m very busy on the weekends, but sunday evenings are the best

Seat yourself. View is beautiful. Servers were attentive & friendly. We ordered crab cakes ($19.5) best I’ve had personally. Light w a slight crisp. Mostly crab. Lobster bisque ($8) was pretty good. Could have used alittle more flavor. The bread served w it tasted stale. Split the Cajun pasta w salmon ($23.5) The salmon was cooked perfectly & well seasoned. The pasta itself was cooked just right. Sauce was creamy. The sauce wasn’t Cajun at all though. I added a ton of pepper & salt to give the pasta some flavor other than cream. I felt the portion of pasta was lacking. We were still hungry.

The food was okay considering we got sandwiches which was about all they offer on a Sunday afternoon. It came with chips not french fries. Still a good sandwich. Yesterday we were here for the entertainment which was excellent. They had a guitar player and singer who was excellent and did a really good guitar solo. He sang some really great songs and was entertaining as well. He had been here for many years and knew a lot of the folks stopping by. It was my first time, and it won’t be the last. Saturday this place was packed and as you can see the view is very good.

Food was great, I had the salmon with pierogis and the quinoa/rice blend, fantastic. My parents both had the crab cake dinner and they loved it. Prices are good for what you get, except the drinks lol. 9 dollars for a mule and 9 dollars for a high noon, 4.50 for a coke! But, very good nonetheless. Our server was Kale, she was awesome haha! Love the outdoor seating by the bay, fun environment.

The burgers I don’t need to order you can only get medium well and it was dry and flavorless. At 1:00 they have run out of their daily special what’s my wife ordered. Second choice was a sandwich that was ok. It’s all about the drinks and the atmosphere which or good being on the dock and the Sun is beautiful

Atmosphere is nice. They were short staffed so service took a little longer, but completely understandable.
I love that they give you chips and french dip with the sandwiches. I got the ultimate ribeye and was okay, the bistro sauce it comes with is a horseradish base.

Graat place to pull up by boat or the road. River is quick to help secure your boat and does it with a smile! The entire bar and wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was surprisingly good, I was expecting “tourist” food and got so much more. The menu has many gluten free options,which is very appreciated. The shrimp and scallops meal (gf) was amazing, the scallops were BIG and cooked perfectly. The chicken brushetta meal (gf) was juicy and full of flavor. The fish tacos were very fresh with large pieces of fish and great for a quick meal. The shrimp Cajun pasta was also a hit with our group, a large serving of pasta and I think 6 large shrimp. All of the meals were very generous portions.

The atmosphere was causal, cool and the food was fantastic! My only issue was the waiter was running after every table, didn’t appear to have help, which made his life harder. He was definitely trying to keep up!
