I received a surprise cake gift from my client, the cake was soft, moist, and not too sweet. The strawberries were fresh and tangy, and every bite was just perfect. It’s one of the most thoughtful gifts I’ve ever received. Honestly, the best cake in Middletown!
The shop is small and cozy, with lots of cute mini cakes. I really want to try their sweet éclairs next time. Everything looked so good!

I have fallen in love with this bakery. I needed a birthday cheesecake for my bf and he sent me here. He had 3 top picks.. 1. Mango cheesecake, 2. raspberry cheesecake and 3. Strawberry shortcake (in that order)
I’m going to be honest I like cheesecake but my favorite is strawberry shortcake. And I thought he was crazy for his order of favorites… until I went in.
First of all, they were really diligent about social distancing which I greatly appreciate. 2 guests allowed inside at a time with mandatory masks. Thank you for caring about your customers and keeping us safe.
Second of all.. walking in this bakery was like the heavens opening up and sun shining in the room. The cases full of every cookie, cake, cheesecake you can imagine… I literally wanted to buy EVERYTHING.
I had a nice chat with the very friendly owner/person behind the counter. She was super nice and helpful to me.
As far as my order…. the mango cheesecake only came in a mini cake size, the raspberry cheesecake came in a 7″ size so I went with that..and yes.. I HAD to get 2 slices of strawberry shortcake for myself too.
The strawberry shortcake was very light and has fresh strawberry throughout the layers… but the star of the day was that raspberry cheesecake.. OMG! Never thought I would say anything was better than shortcake but this raspberry cheesecake was the truth!!!
I will be back soon as I find a reason to have another chest day lol.

Cakes from bakery plus will have your party guests going back for more. There’s usually leftover cake at a party but not with a bakery plus cake.
They are beautiful and DELICIOUS! When you pick it up you’re going to buy some more stuff from the bakery case. Dangerously good.

My coworkers got me a cake for my birthday and it was phenomenal. The cannoli cake is so creamy and moist-nothing about it is dry. The whipped icing is so smooth and compliments the rest of the cake deliciously. I find most bakery’s in the area have an icing that’s so sweet, it’s almost like chalk. Shout out to my colleague, Matt, for the wonderful cake and hooking me on this place. I will definitely go for cakes for personal events!!

A coworker brought me here last week. There was so much to choose from. I ended up getting 6 slices 2 Boston’s creme, 2 Oreo, one Cannoli, and one chocolate d decadent. Cake was moist. The frosting wasn’t overly sweet. Definitely the best cake slices ever! Definitely coming back to order some cakes! One slice is missing from the box, I had already eaten it before going back to the car.

I’m not a big cake eater, but when I do, this is where it’s from! Bakery Plus has the best cake around! The chocolate mousse with raspberry filling or fresh strawberry are my favorites! She uses fresh whipped cream so it’s not too sweet and the cake is always soft and moist.

The cakes, cupcakes, cookies I mean you name it they make it and make it incredibly delicious and decadent! Their chocolate mouse is like eating a chocolate cloud! I ordered most recently a red velvet cake for my sisters birthday and it was done fresh and decorated nicely. They are so easy to work with! They are also very thoughtful because I ordered a cake for someone and they realized some already bought a cake for that same person and she let me know right away that she thinks we might have double cakes. And we did lol but that just shows how much everyone loves them!

Cakes are stellar and delicious. The pastries are fresh and absolutely yummy There’s so many options of baked goods. Some of our favorite are the Boston cream cake slice, the sugar cookies and the cinnamon chip coffee cake.
The staff are always welcoming helpful and knowledgeable. We always get our personalized birthday ice cream cakes here as well.

I have to admit, Middletown has changed, for a good bakery, there use to be a bakery shop all over! Now, if you find a bakery, it’s NOT from scratch, and it’s definitely NOT cooked there, more put together at the shop and baked somewhere else! I have to admit, I tried them and the cake was moist and the ingredients were exceptional! If your looking at getting a well made tasting treat, this is the place to go!
