♥️
I was very wrong! I’ve tried this place a few times now, and La Dolce Vita has exceeded expectations in their quality of food & drink.
The lasagna is amazing, absolutely no junk in it just fresh ingredients. The soups pasta e fagioli & minestrone were perfectly seasoned (when I took mine home I added ditalini and turned it into lunch for 2)
Great selection of hot and cold sandwiches, I have tried the Italian Tuna and the Roma which was grilled chicken, tomato & avocado on fresh Italian bread, both highly recommended.
Saving my favorite thing for last… the croissants are by far the best I’ve ever had. Pastry selection of apricot filled, chocolate filled, plain, homemade cookies, cream filled donuts, this place has something for everyone.
And of course, the giant espresso machine serving up any style coffee you desire.
A must try !!
My only critiques:
Visibility – I actually drove away the first time I came here because the pin on Google maps shows it in the rear parking lot and foolish me I thought the place didn’t exist because I couldn’t find it in back. So I left. A sign in the rear might encourage people to stop in from the side street, as it’s difficult to enter/exit on mineral spring.
Menus- the digital screen is great if you dont struggle with vision, and for older folks and people like myself who like to look at a paper menu, having 2 or 3 on the main counter would add to the experience.
All in all, my new favorite place in town 🙂 Stop in for a slice of Italy in the heart of NP
We had the Roma sandwich with the avacado sauce on a grilled roll. (it was an option)
Delicious! The flavors melded beautifully, the breas was toasted but still quite soft inside and it had absorbed the flavors of the chicken and the bacon. THe thick cut bacon was delicious.
We also had the Sfogliatella (pronounced – shfu-ya-della for those non-italians like myself..) was incredible! Crispy shell, and the obviously homemade filling was out of this world. Great texture with a bit of lemon!! A must get.
We’ll be back very soon!
The Bologna is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, as was the Mediterranea. The bread is perfect for sandwiches, and the contents were delicious and well balanced. Their lasagna was excellent. Perfectly executed in my opinion. Savory and delicious, cheese was crusted perfectly over the top, the sauce was well flavored, beef contents were well balanced, and it was delivered in a perfect serving dish for two. The pastries were fluffy, delicate, and refreshing, and most importantly, the people were delightful and welcoming.
I look forward to coming back and exploring the rest of the menu.
