I ordered the special advertised on a coupon and asked my sister to pick it up. I paid over the phone ($52.91) prior to pick up. The coupon was forgotten and when my sister arrived to pick up the order the woman who attended her did not want to give her the order and made a huge ordeal about it. I asked for my sister to get a refund and upon that request the order was given out. I am MISSING the grilled onions and jalapeno that was supposed to be included. The chicken is flavorless and dry with a lot of the skin missing as well. The rice is overcooked and there is a lot of specs of black burnt pieces. This is my last time spending any money towards this establishment . I was hoping to revisit my teen years since I grew up near their 55th street establishment. I am going to attach a menu for RAFAS CHICKEN for anyone who is reading this and would enjoy flavorful, moist chicken; coupons not needed, they always have specials. Will never order here again.

This place has the best chicken tortas around. The chicken is always perfectly seasoned, super tender, and packed with flavor. The bread is fresh and soft with just the right amount of crisp on the outside. They load it up with all the good stuff — fresh toppings, great sauce, and generous portions.
It’s become my go-to lunch spot. Fast service, consistent quality, and you leave full every time. If you haven’t tried their chicken torta yet, you’re missing out.

I have been here a few times. Always great and friendly service. I have tried the chicken. It is well cooked, tender and tasty. The sauces are pretty good too. The rice was a bit overcooked the first time but better the second time.
I have tried the tacos and tortas. The tortas are okay. I preferred the tacos. The meat was well cooked and crispy. The size of the tacos is your standard size. If you don’t want your taco meat crispy let them know, especially for al pastor and steak.

EDIT: I originally gave this 4 stars, but have tried it several more times and it’s a fantastic place in the neighborhood!
We’ve ordered the taco tray and each taco was delicious, I particularly loved their Al pastor and my parents liked the tripa tacos.
Then I also tried their torta Al pastor and it is also so good! My parents had the pollo asado and milanesa de pollo. The milanesa was a little too crispy, but good overall.

Unfortunately, I wanted to have a good experience and make this place my go to for chicken in the neighborhood. The food was tasteful but the portions for a family size was too small in comparison to other establishment with similar offerings. I had an experience with the attendant/cashier were she would not honor the coupon I had on my phone even though it was from their website/ instagram, she said a physical coupon was required. Beware that nowhere on the coupon does it state that a physical coupon is required.

I wanted to love this new restaurant considering I live on the same block but sadly we won’t be back again. The chicken is EXTREMELY dry and overcooked and the chicken has no flavor whatsoever. The rice was also very very dry and I’m usually not picky with rice but this was awful. I also normally don’t post reviews but I had to since this is a brand new restaurant that just opened and should be at least making good impressions the first opening week! I did pick up the food around 8pm (closes at 9pm) but that should be no excuse! I’m assuming the chicken had been cooked earlier in the day and sat under heat the rest of the night. You can see a lot of chicken laid out on a table already cooked so who knows how long it had been sitting there. The beans looked and tasted like they were from a can because they were overly mashed up and little flavor at all. Very disappointed overall.

Stopped in today to pick up dinner for the family. I ordered their Thursday meal chicken, rice, beans, tortillas, flautas, and cebollitas/jalapeños, steak tacos, agua de piña and agua de Jamaica. Everything was flavorful and delicious. The salsas were on point! We will definitely be returning!!!

How many people are you going to overcharge in this neighborhood that welcomed you in with flying colors?…I was charged $19.82 for 2 tacos…when I asked the shady cashier…he said…yes …it’s 19.82. I said cancel it and started to leave..then I hear..oh wait I’m sorry…I charged you for a taco dinner too. Same thing…to at least 5 people I know as well. Unacceptable…… absolutely unacceptable…..and if it keeps happening….it will be boycott time. End of story. #shadynotwelcomehere

I really wanted to love this place. I bought the Thursday family special the chicken was very overcooked(dry).Potato flautas were very good. Beans were ok and the Mexican rice was tasteless and dry. The BBQ wings very dry, although they were smothered in sauce still very dry. The coffee horchata was delicious though.
