Taste of fresh herbs, probably coriander, made my spinach dish taste excellent. Friendly waiters, not pushing you to have a drink, it’s already a favourite of mine. Only weak point was finding two hairs in the food.

When I first arrived in Paris one of the first things I concerned myself with was finding a decent Indian restaurant. After many disappointments I passed by Cardamom Cafe and decided to try one more time thanks to their menu offer which was very reasonably priced. The food was excellent, everything really delicious, the staff very friendly and the bill was nowhere near as frightening as it can be in other Indian restaurants. Since then I’ve been back plenty of times and plan on going back many times more. Top notch.

The place was almost empty. There were 2 guests and we had a reservation at 2 o’clock. We arrived at 2:10. The man was unbelievably rude. He said the restaurant closes at 2:30 and he could not seat us. We got lost walking to the restaurant which made us 10 min late. On this particular street in Paris the even numbers are 206 a block away on the opposite side. It took us a extra 6 min to correct this. So this particular person was extremely inhospitable and I would tell anyone to NEVER book a reservation here. There is a reason the restaurant was empty. The food did not look appetising. All of the restaurants around were busy. If you show up 20 minutes late for a reservation anywhere in my experience until now you would be seated. We even offered to takeout instead of dine at the restaurant. He refused. This restaurant is awful. The way they treat people is inhuman. I will tell everyone to avoid this place! Ten minutes late is ridiculous! Never eat here!!!

I had the vegetarian thali (platter) for lunch. It was like home cooked food, flavorful and at a good price. The owner was very collegial. A great place for Indian food near Gare de Lyon!

I agree with the prior review. 205 Rue de Faubourg St Antoine doesn’t seem very nice. The restaurant looks very old – and… inside… it was not renovated – dingy and dark. The restaurant is frequently empty. Personally, I would avoid this place if possible. I do know that on 63 Rue du Charonne there is a nice Indian place called Etoile de Kashmir – updated modernish decor. Kinda of Indian bourgeois and very correct for the neighborhood. Rue du Charonne is a very happening place in the 11e. Given the options, the Cardamome Café should be at the bottom of any list.

Horrible service experience ever. The waiter was very intrusive into our personal lives. Quite embarrassed to take my GF there.
Lessons learned! Please avoid this restaurant at any cost. Also it’s not real Indian restaurant.
It’s a Bangladeshi restaurant!
