Delicious food and friendly service! We came here because they were open late, most restaurants close their kitchen at 10pm which isn’t very convenient for folks who stay at Glenwood hot springs until their 9pm close time and have to shower after. Our hotel suggested Mc Donald’s because nothing is open late but luckily we found that El Tapatio closed at 11pm so that saved us. The service was fast and friendly. The portions were huge, plenty of protein! We enjoyed their cabbage salsa and chips too. The only complaint we have is the ceiling lights are offensively bright and could use a dimmer switch asap. Otherwise it was a great experience!

I visited Tapatio this weekend and ordered the seafood fajita skillet. The seafood itself was good and the overall taste wasn’t bad. The fajitas came out hot and were enjoyable.
I also ordered a Cantarito drink, which unfortunately was not very pleasant. The flavor was off and didn’t really match what I was expecting, so that was a bit disappointing.
The service really stood out—everyone was very friendly, attentive, and consistently checked in to make sure everything was okay. The atmosphere was great as well, with music at a comfortable level that didn’t overpower conversation.
The main downside for me was the salsa that came with the food (not the one served with the chips at the beginning). One salsa was very salty, and the other lacked flavor. Improving the salsas served with the meals would really elevate the overall dining experience.
Overall, it was a pleasant visit with good service and atmosphere, but the drink and salsa are areas that could use some improvement.

Went here on Christmas Eve and had an excellent experience. I was visiting Glenwood from out of town and the restaurant we originally planned to go to was closed. We picked El Tapatio next, and it was a great choice! Stellar service, giant portions and delicious flavors. The chips and salsa were tasty too. I’m sad I live far away and can’t visit more often!

The chips and salsa here we good start The queso dip was think and a bit salty but my companion liked it.
Had the beef fajita’s and was disappointed.
Very little beef and it was dried out. Most of the plate consisted of the sides. Dried up Mexican rice. Good refired beans. Pico de Gallo and guacamole.

We went to this place in a group of 12 for their Margarita special buy 1 get the 2nd half off.
The atmosphere was so fun! The staff were great and the drinks even better.
There was a man with a guitar playing and entertaining us while we drank and had a good time.
Highly recommended this place, even if just to check out the fun vibe!

It’s been awhile since my wife and I have had both great food and service. We made a little trip down here to Glenwood for the weekend. Came across this place and had a phenomenal experience. Everything was amazing. The food portions were also incredible haha!

Amazing food and experience! I got the Mexican Molcajete and I highly recommend it here. Flavorful and just right. The staff was super friendly and seems to be ran by great people. Anytime I come here for the springs, I will definitely stop in and have some dinner before I head back home.

I come to Glenwood a few times a year from Denver and this time just me and my kiddos. We spent all day swimming and were hungry and looking for something my picky eaters would try, never tried it and my daughter said lets try it. We were greeted and sat immediately chips and salsa came out pretty quick with waters for all. Our waitress was ocer not long after. I usually get a burrito but i decided to get the pulled pork (forgive me i cant remember the name of the dish) and my kids got chicken nuggets and fries lol. Food came out pretty quick after ordering and there plates were very full and mine was as well. And omg the flavors are amazing!! I cant believe i never tried this place before. This is a must for people if uou like authentic mexican food!! I usually go to friedas but not anymore! My new go to when im here.
