Got the basil fried rice and the flavor was great. But the beef was incredibly chewy w/ tough bits I couldn’t bite through. And the egg was veryyy very over easy, parts of the white were still liquidy. Very nice staff, but food was just a bit off for me.

This Thai Sunflowers has the best Pad Prik King I’ve been able to find so far. The people are nice and helpful and they give very good size portions of food. So far, it’s my favorite Thai Food place.

Very nice person running the stand agreed to use my container. Ordered mussaman curry with chicken. The overall taste was ok, but needed a little something (more curry? more coconut milk?).
The chicken was overcooked tasteless shreds of white meat. Thigh meat would have improved the dish.
The real issue was the carrots were somewhat undercooked, and the potatoes were VERY undercooked. Almost impossible to chew. The potatoes alone ruined the entire dish. I doubt I will ever go back

The food was delicious. I would recommend lab gai (chicken salad) or papaya salad. The beef salad was good too. Pad Thai and pad see ew was just on top of tongue.

The shrimp in my papaya salad was uncooked. Literally still translucent. When I brought it back the woman running the register acted like I was crazy.
She also took the iPad back before I could select a tip amount and hit 20% without asking me, which wouldn’t have bothered me so much if food was better honestly.
1/10 would not recommend

Sleeper Thai spot.
Delicious Basil Fried Rice. It was actually fragrant and flavorful.
Thai Omelette dish came with rice and that was a delightful surprise. Is the perfect for quick simple home cooked feel meal.
10/10 would make my regular Thai spot.

It’s easy to find pad thai, but it’s hard to find GOOD pad thai. I wouldn’t say that it blows my mind away when it comes from Thai Sunflower, but it’s definitely good enough to keep me satisfied, filled, and happy. This food cart has a good selection of Thai classics to choose from. Service was pretty nice, although my partner and I did ask for mild spicy and what we were given had no spice at all, though I can understand that they probably didn’t want to overwhelm us. It’s a cute cart and I would definitely recommend it to someone visiting the food carts at The Heist.
