Great food. Greater employees!! Stopped by on Friday and they had just closed but Wendy let us come in and look at the menu. Came back Saturday night for dinner and they didnt let us down. Carne Asada was amazing. Great flavor. Cooked perfect. Guacamole was excellent. Loved the salsa bar. Wendy came over while we were eating and said hello and thanked us for coming back. Will definitely eat here again.

Just finished eating here and WOW, it was so good! I got the Mexican breakfast burrito and it was packed with flavor, the perfect mix of spice and texture. You can tell everything’s made fresh.

It’s too bad. The food here is good but the service here is absolutely terrible. The restaurant has this made a policy where you get chips and salsa with every order. The person who took my order was gatekeeping and making assumptions about which people were part of a group and which people were not part of a group. They did not base it on each individual order.
They wouldn’t give me chips and salsa and accused me of being part of a larger group (of which I was not). I wasn’t part of the larger group. They refused to give me chips and Salsa. The service really ruined my visit

So delicious!!! I loved the steak enchiladas!!! The atmosphere was great and I loved that they have a salad bar!! We also got free chips and salsa, which was awesome!! I definitely recommend this place!

I would avoid this place, staff is extremely rude. I spent $200 and they would only give me two small things of chips and salsa. They were giving chips and salsa to anyone that ordered anything. Why wouldn’t I get more when I ordered eight meals? Tacky and poor management results in a poor Restaurant experience, Buyer beware. Food was comparable to taco bell but 3x the price.

Taqueria Pelayo Mexico Food fills the niche for quality Mexican cuisine that has been missing in Lava for a while. The interior is beautiful, filled with hand-painted wooden seating and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are great, always helpful and polite. I had the shrimp dish and enjoyed every bite, especially with fresh salsa from the salsa bar.

Order your meal at the counter and they call when it’s ready. No waiter, it’s served on paper plates. Everything was delicious! Especially the shrimp and veggies in cream sauce. Also loved the enchilada sauce, and I’m usually picky about that. I love the condiment bar with fresh salsas & jalapeno. Mango salsa was sweet and made fresh. Highly recommend

Ate here today with hubby. I had nachos, he had seafood enchiladas. Not a lot of seafood in them but he enjoyed them. My nachos was ok, but I’ve had better. Needed more sour cream and guac. The Mexican sodas were great. Food is served on paper plates. Staff were friendly enough but didn’t go out of their way for their 15% gratuity. Atmosphere was cantina style. Was on the pricey side for Mexican food, but tasty enough.
