Visited Mé Lon Togo Bistro on an impulse as we were driving by and looking for a new place to dine. I really enjoyed the experience. I will admit service could be considered pretty slow, but the atmosphere was enjoyable and the musicians playing were nice to listen to. I really got the feeling I was in someone’s house and they were cooking for me, versus the normal restaurant vibe. I enjoyed this but I could see how others may not like it. The food was great. They had a Gumbo on special that was amazingly flavorful. A great combination of spices, but nothing overpowering. I’ll look forward to going back.

Delicious and creative food and cocktails. We enjoyed each of the dishes, which offered a range of inspiring flavors, unlike anything in central Maine.
Some other reviewers seem frustrated by the prix-fixe menu ($35 per person: appetizer, salad, main dish, and desert) but our waiter explained this to us at the start of the meal, and the choice of main dishes was ample enough for us to each find something we loved. Perhaps most people in Maine are unfamiliar with that concept that it scares them, but I hope the locals become more accepting and adventurous because we truly enjoyed our meal and look forward to returning.

Delicious and unique cuisine. I came home for the holidays and the family went here for a different dining experience. This place is amazing! The food is high quality and prepared with care. Everything is tasty with just enough heat. The service was wonderful, not crowding us as we visited with family and painstakingly decided what one entree to choose–everything looked so good! This is the quality I expect from restaurants in Washington DC, where I love and such a welcome surprise when I come home to Maine. I look forward to my next visit!

For a delicious, well-priced, 4 course meal made with great attention and care, come dine at Me Lon Togo! We enjoyed the tangy, smoky eggplant appetizer, which was followed by the delightful house salad. The Red Palm Nut Chicken and that day’s special of red snapper curry both had fantastic spice profiles and were served in filling portions. It was such a treat to pair our food with Kenyan lagers and Akpetessi in central Maine! Thank you Chef Jordan and staff for your patience and service with a smile. The musician there played an impressive selection of songs on an array of different instruments; together with the cocktails the restaurant is worth a trip alone, but we will come back again and again for great food, service and dining experience. You should, too!

Very pleasant atmosphere with live, quiet music. The Chicken Tagine was perfectly done with interesting flavors. They accommodated my food allergies creatively. My fellow diners enjoyed their meal as well. Good choice for foodies or a special meal. The owner and waiter are friendly and come greet you. We will be back.

This site needs a whole lot of help, from the wait staff to the pricing of the meals that were overcooked yet cold and took 2 hours just to get in get settled and get food. No where in waterville Maine should 2 people spend $97 dollars for that service and or food. Highly disappointed as we were hoping for the best for this new restaurant to waterville. I do not recommend anyone to go if you are on any type of budget or wanting a nice hot meal with good service.

Went with a friend and truly had a blast. The live music was great, the waiters were lovely, and the food was definitely the best part about it all. Definitely bringing more Colby friends to Me Lon Togo.

I think I see what they’re going for here. I believe it’s a full meal for every patron.
Sadly my friend and I came in looking to just see the menu and order an appetizer or something just to experience it but that is not how it works here.
We did not have enough time to stay for the full meal and explained that we needed to leave. Shortly after placing an order.
What I did eat (their African bread) was had a good taste.

Easily one of the best restaurants in Waterville– the food was AMAZING, the staff was extremely welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere was incredible. The live music truly completed the entire experience. I would go back in a heart beat.

My husband and I came to Mé Lon Togo, and it was an absolute treat. We could not decide on which dinners to share, so we actually ordered three! We had the Gumbo, Beef Bourguignon, and Osso Buco Monkfish. We cannot wait to be back in Maine so that we can come back.
