There’s alot to like about the food and wonderful, warm service.
I ordered the Polish Plate…
*Polish sausage was the best quality with a great “snap” and perfectly cooked.
*Boiled pierogies were perfection.
*Braised cabbage was flavorful.
*Cabbage roll was great quality but lacked flavor-almost like they forgot to season it.
*Potato pancake was dry and tasteless. Very surprising, given the quality of the other items.
Now for dessert…
*Cheesecake – it was ok, but a weird texture….almost like cheesecake filling and traditional cake were mixed and the crust was pretty tough on the bottom.
We also brought home several items..
*Chicken soup – big disappointment. It’s noodles were like those in an instant soup mix. Barely any chicken and 2 small pieces of carrots. Really poor quality…don’t waste your money on it.
*Pierogies- 5 cheese and potato ones for $9. They were excellent. However, all you get are the pierogies…no side…nada…very pricey.
All in all, I still think this a great place for several of the previously mentioned reasons, so please give them a try.

A nice Polish restaurant in Lake Zurich, IL. They serve good pierogi, probable better prepared steamed than fried. The fire alarm went off while we visited, which was a bit disconcerting, but i suspect this is a rare event. The staff were friendly and polite. They had some tasty Polish sparkling water that enhanced the Polish feeling of the meal.

An excellent experience all around. The food was delightful—flavorful with the feel of a home cooked meal made with love. We aren’t that experienced with polish food so the Polish plate was the perfect way to sample a little of everything. I would order it again in a heartbeat because I enjoyed all of it. We also tried the special for the evening, pork ribs with dumplings and cucumber salad as sides, and that dish was enjoyable too. Dessert was ice cream with braised plums in a wine sauce reduction that was a simple yet surprisingly delicious end to our meal. Aside from that, the service was friendly and attentive. We’ll be returning!

My husbands family is Polish so we wanted to try some Polish food for his birthday. Everything was very delicious and we definitely will come back again even though it is 50 minutes away.

Went for lunch and ordered more for dinner leftovers. Food was very good, amazing mushroom gravy on the potato pancakes and cabbage rolls. Will definitely go back regularly.

I will for sure be back here. The food was outstanding and the service was amazing. Everyone was so pleasant and friendly. I ordered the polish plate to try the staples. I was NOT disappointed. From the way the food was plated to how delicious everything tasted – simply wonderful. Highly recommend! I also tried the drunk plum dessert with a scoop of ice cream. SO GOOD. Do yourself a favor and try this yummy spot! It’s priced fairly and has a good variety!

Delicious and authentic! The barley and mushroom stuffed cabbage was rich and filling, and paired well with the cucumber salad and a potato pancake for a very filling lunch. The braised cabbage was tasty and has some sausage in it – so communicate any dietary restrictions with the friendly staff to avoid surprises. Some older folks next to me remarked that it was akin to their mother’s cooking, and I’m sure my Nana would have loved it. 10/10.

If I could give 10 stars for this authentic polish cusine I would! Unbelievable attention to detail, presentation is superb, food was especially superb and atmosphere is pouring with incredible passion, love, dedication and authenticity. The waitress was very attentive, kind friendly and helpful. Also had a great sense of humor, what a delight! I don’t understand how this place isn’t jammed packed everyday. Had the polish plate, cucumber salad and the cake of the day as well as a polish cookie… wish I lived next door. HIGHLY HOGHLY RECOMMEND! Definitely will be returning

I ordered the Polish plate for lunch. As someone who is Polish and grew up eating this food, I was really looking forward to trying this place since it was recommended to me by someone local.
The service was good — staff was friendly, which I appreciated.
Unfortunately, the food itself was disappointing. The kielbasa came out cold, which was surprising and took away from the dish. The gołąbek had a very strong aftertaste — I’m not sure what meat was used, but it left an unpleasant flavor that lingered. The placek ziemniaczany was decent and probably the highlight of the plate. The pan-fried pierogi were okay, but could have used some bacon for extra flavor.
Overall, it didn’t meet my expectations for authentic Polish food, and sadly, I won’t be coming back.

As first time customers our group of 4 all agreed this charming Polish restaurant serves up delicious food and definitely recommend a visit! We enjoyed 4 dishes number 1 the Polish Subway with Sausage. Number 2 the Stuffed Cabbage Rolls with Barley and Mushroom, two sides selected were the Silesian Dumplings and Cold Beets.
Number 3 the Potato Pancakes with Sour Cream and Applesauce, and finally number 4, the Polish Plate. This dish was my favorite having 1 Potato Pancake, 1 Polish Sausage, 1 Stuffed Cabbage and 3 Pierogi with my choice of Sauerkraut (fried). If you have room, enjoy a dessert, ours being large enough to share. As a side note, our booth was comfortable and it was noted the table size more than adequate for our group. As stated above a definite recommend for Polish cuisine!
