Stopped in yesterday to grab a couple drinks and something to eat with a dear friend of mine based off her recommendation and also the fact that you could smoke in here. Armani was super sweet and took really good care of us. The fries were phenomenal and the grilled cheese with bacon was also really good but for full transparency I was also pretty tipsy so I don’t know I might have to come back at a different time and give it a go again.

My family and I recently ordered takeout from The Tavrne, a fantastic Jamaican spot downtown, and we were thoroughly impressed! We tried the oxtail dinner, curry goat dinner, and jerk chicken pasta, and every dish was incredibly tasty and packed with authentic flavor. The portions are generous, so you’ll definitely get your fill.
When I picked up our order, the restaurant wasn’t crowded, and the owner, who seemingly does it all – from chef to cashier and everything in between – was incredibly nice and welcoming. It’s clear he puts a lot of passion into his food and business.
If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Jamaican cuisine with generous portions and a wonderfully friendly owner, I highly recommend giving The Tavrne a try! It’s a true neighborhood gem.

We ordered take out and the order was incorrect. I called and he said he’d leave a note and I could come back and get it? Confused I went to see him at the NMB location and never came out of the kitchen after the hostess went to get him.

Nice old time bar. Alli the bartender was very nice and the price of the beers was very reasonable. My wife and I are not smokers, which is allowed in the bar, therefore that is the only negative we have about The Tavern. If you dont mind amoking then thia place is a great place to try.

First time being there. Went for lunch just got some hot wings and beer. Wings were jays special hot sauce. Some of the best wings I’ve had in Myrtle beach. Atmosphere is very nice and relaxing and the bartender all was very kind. Definitely one of my more favorite places to go to out here to just relax and grab some food. Service was pretty quick
