It’s a beautiful quaint little restaurant, the food was absolutely delicious. The prices were exceptionally reasonable, I got the combo plate and it was only $12. Came with a choice of meat, plus beans, rice, vegetables and homemade tortillas. The homemade tortillas are phenomenal. When we walked in they were cooking them right behind the counter. The service is amazing. They just seemed genuinely happy to see you and have you there. They have both green and red sauce to pour on your food and they’re both delicious. The menu is limited but next time I’m in town I’m definitely going after some tacos and tortas as I’ve heard good things. If you find yourself in South Bend I definitely advise a stop.

Food was good, very large portions and was surprisingly cheaper than I was expecting it to be considering how much food was actually on the plate. It felt like you were going to Mom’s house getting home cooked food. I really liked the casual atmosphere.

Follow up review after a couple years. This place quality still holds up. Got the barbacoa tacos and it was delicious. Ingredients were fresh, service was very nice, and the salsa that came with it was on point. Would recommend stopping if you are in the area and craving some good Mexican food.

So my husband and I have have lived in Raymond for 3 years now and we FINALLY checked this place out and it did not disappoint!! The food is provided with fresh ingredients and made to order. Good food, good people. If you want an incredible meal, authentic and affordable, stop in at Betsy’s. You may have to wait a bit, because sometimes the line can be a little long. Very well worth the time. I’ve yet to have anything from them that wasn’t exceptional. Their Big Burrito is one if my favorites, also their Tacos are to die for. You should bring your appetite as the portions are HUGE.

We stopped for lunch the other day. They had a simple menu, meaning that there were not a lot of choices. Simple was very good in this case. I chose the combo plate with beef and it was a very nice meal. I was surprised that the bathrooms were outside but they were good bathrooms so that was ok. The restaurant is located right by a huge oyster shell. It was neat to see too.

Okay I know a lot of us have had tacos. But these tacos are a must eat. They are the most amazing Mexican tacos I’ve ever had and I will tell you I eat a lot of tacos lol the first bite was a pause in reality for a moment. I let the taste of this amazing Taco just soak into my mouth. It was so good I had to order more. It’s definitely not a place you just eat at once. Your mind is going to be thinking of that taco. Your mouth is going to be drooling for that taco. You can’t find another taco like there’s LOL plus their burritos are giant! Large enough you need both hands to hold it and a big stomach because you’re going to get full halfway through trust me!

NGL, the ambience is very casual and the beans and rice were forgettable — but the chicken tacos were the best I’ve had in ages. Somebody there really knows their seasonings. Will come back.
