Chiya Chai on the river walk is absolutely delicious. I have been meaning to try it for a couple months and when I finally did it did not disappoint, all of the food is so incredibly full of flavor. It’s definitely some of the best Indian food you can get in this part of town and one of the few casual Indian spots around as well. I’ve gone twice now and I can personally speak for how amazing the aloo chaat and the chicken tikka masala are!

The gentleman at this location is super sweet and knows my go-to order which is the pani puri and their caramel sea salt chai I highly recommend (hot and iced are both amazing)

I ordered bhel puri. It was amazing. Highly recommend this place for street style food. While on river walk, you can grab one and enjoy. There is seating too but is very limited.

Tried the masala chai and it was just like chai tea latte and no way close to the Indian masala chai as advertised.
I asked the person there and they offered to make one more but confirmed that it’s just black tea and milk mixed together with a spice mix and not like the masala chai.
Wish they didn’t advertise is as masala chai as it’s disappointing for chai lovers!!

I ordered Samosa Chat and Masala Chai. It was amazing. Highly recommend this place if you want to indulge in Indian street style food. The best Masala Chai I had in US. I am positively going there next time while I take a walk around downtown.
