This place never disappoints! You can pretty much order any kind of smoothie you like and make modifications. They offer other items like Mac & cheese bowls, grain bowls, fruit bowls, salads, sandwiches and wraps. They sell local goods that are pretty amazing too and rare gift items. Service is always great and atmosphere is very peaceful. One of my favorite places! The green apple smoothie is definitely one of my favorite smoothies!

Local smoothie shop. My personal favorites are the hokie berry and perfectly peachy. They have great wraps and other snack too. 10 times better than the chain smoothie places so skip those and go here!

It was cute and clean inside, and the girl who took my order was really friendly – although the other girls behind the counter just stood there and blank-faced stared at me the whole time which was kind of weird and uncomfortable. But I paid $14 for the wettest, soupiest smoothie bowl I’ve ever had. I still ate it because I’m pregnant and was super hungry and I had already had to bring it back up to the counter once because it was missing a topping that it was supposed to have. Overall it was pretty disappointing and underwhelming and too expensive for the one item I got to be made poorly.

Used to come here all the time when I lived in Roanoke and it was always a favorite. Unfortunately, after our experience today I don’t think we will be back when we visit. The quality of everything- food, smoothies, service was sub-par at best. First time I’ve been back in a couple years- They are likely cutting costs for food (I.e. Significantly lower quality ingredients) but keeping their prices high. It cost close to $50 for lunch for 2 and that included 2 wraps that were 95% lettuce with a slice of turkey so thin it was hardly discernible from the wrap itself. The smoothies themselves tasted more like ice than fruit. They have always been a more upscale option and I never minded paying slightly more for the quality of food, but it seems new management here has really lost sight of the high quality standards that Elderberries built their brand on. Sure food prices are up, but don’t sacrifice the very things that separate a boutique local smoothie shop from a national fast food joint. Especially when you’re still charging boutique prices.

I paid $10 for a bowl of mac n cheese that was to have bacon in it. It costs$1.50 more than the plain mac n cheese for literally a pinch of bacon. I do not understand how this is acceptable. Also it didn’t have many noodles and was mostly cheese sauce. The bowl was half full for $10. I will not be ordering this ever again. It used to be my favorite dish on the menu. Then I find out that ownership changed…. I’m not a fan. Sad day.

Just went to the CUTEST smoothie shop ever?! Anyone in the Roanoke, VA area needs to go check out Elderberry’s because it is AMAZING?! The wraps are so good and the smoothies are bomb! And it’s all natural and fresh ingredients!!!! And icing on the cake, it has the most beautiful artistic vibe in there!!!! Absolutely in love and can’t wait to go back!
