They have a great happy hour during the week which we will definitely be having a return visit.
Went a 2nd and it was really great, try the Gumbo Flight, Chicken/Sausage File, Duck/Andouille Sausage, Seafood, and Seafood Creole Gumbo.
Courtney really took care of us. We also had Fresh Redfish and Catfish Couvillon were great.
Thanks Will for checking in on us also.
I ordered 3 Parmesan oysters… don’t! Just baked on cheese on a shell… never saw or tasted any oysters.
Great place w good atmosphere for watching football’
The cocktail and tartar sauce didn’t help much.
I love that you offer alligator and catfish bites. Yummy but could use more seasoning too. The sauces were nice.
Service took long to get our things out. We had to ask for our utensils when the food came out. We came at 8:30 pm and our waitress was super sweet and nice. But they didn’t check on us too often. I finished my small margarita quickly and was left thirsty until she came back. The food took 20 minutes to come out, same for dessert which felt like a long time. We spent 2 hours there. Too long.
My dad was surprised the beignets didn’t come with chocolate or other dipping sauce. Usually they do at other places.
I tried the Oyster Shooter and it said it would come with a shot of tequila-bloody mary mix but I didn’t taste much of the bloody mary. It should taste tomatoey like cocktail sauce. I tasted the alcohol which was strong. The oyster didn’t taste much of anything and was small which I laughed at – I was expecting something bigger! Fresh raw oysters should smell like the ocean but not overly fishy. This one was bland and soupy.
Overall, I’d love to love this place more. It just needs more seasoning and faster service!
hate to leave a bad review I tried to look for the positive but the negative greatly outweighs. Don’t waste your time and money. It took for ever just to get our drink order put in much less filled due to the margaritas and mix drinks not available. So I had to pass on my drink. Then the beer took for ever the waiter came by 2 times to tell us it still wasn’t ready. and the place was empty? By the time we placed orders for appetizers and food it was already a hr passed. We ordered the gator but I didn’t like the dipping sauce & we tried the boudin balls that sauce was better.1st person got 1 lb of crawfish which was very small. I think the potatoes weighted more than anything but was told they tasted good. Second person thought he order chicken fried chicken expecting liked chicken fried steak but it was 4 pc chicken ♀️w bland fries and bland Mac n cheese. 3rd I got the seafood platter which I was so excited for just to get disappointed. I didn’t even want to eat nothing had flavor. I had to ask for salt and pepper. The hush puppies were over cooked. The crab was the only thing out of the whole plate that was good!!! The breading for the fried food needs seasoning. I tried to eat but had to stop eating my food due to it not tasting good. Never in my life have I had a fried shrimp that taste like it was boiled in water. No flavor at all. Served on greasy fries w no salt…
The worst part was the service. Usually we are very patient and understanding people but we went to eat around 2pm and it was so slow. Our waitress had the worst attitude and acted like she couldn’t care less especially since we were sitting outside. She was training a girl and still just showed no concern for us and acted like we were being such a hassle when we asked for refills, etc.
All in all, I would go back for the crawfish, but that’s about it. Unfortunately this is the 3rd time we have eaten there and the service is always the reason we decide to not go back.
The fried pickles were solid and the ranch was the highlight. The charbroiled oysters were very good. Unfortunately, that is where the positives ended.
We waited nearly an hour for our entrées while tables seated after us were served first. Our waitress eventually told us our food had been delivered to the wrong table and had to be remade. When it finally came out, it arrived in stages instead of together.
The hush puppies were dry and greasy. The fries were sitting in oil and completely soggy. The catfish itself was decent, but not worth the wait or the overall experience.
For a Valentine’s Day dinner, this was a major letdown. I would not recommend going out of your way to eat here.
