We showed up without a reservation and said we wanted to buy pizza for 15 college kids. No problem. Our waiter was fabulous. He checked everyone’s ID and gave them separate checks for their drinks. The pizza selections were unique and super tasty. Good parking in the back.

Great Pizza place for the whole family. We met some friends here while visiting Missoula and stayed for about 3 hours just talking and enjoying our meals. The atmosphere is very Montana and we really enjoyed that aspect of it. The prices are moderate and the food is great. Service was very good and they kept attention to detail. All in all I would rate this 5 stars!

This local chain-owned Italian restaurant offers pizza that is fresh, well-made, and tasty, if not entirely authentic. The venue is a typical, casual but nice sit-down restaurant that is generally pleasant and relaxed. The food options are good but of course pizza is the specialty. One of the better pizza makers in town, and relatively affordable at that.

Good pizza. But for some reason the waitress seemed to dislike us from the start. Didn’t serve us for the longest time, walked right passed up on several occasions – but didn’t seem to mind chatting with other customers and making sure that their drinks were filled. Not sure what exactly happened, if we said something or did something or if she just passed some judgement right out the gate, but whatever it was ensured that we’d not be visiting again.

Great food! I always try to stop at Mackenzie river while I travel to Missoula for work. Everytime I am completely satisfied with all. The food is great. The food selection is nice. They have great salads and even better pizza. The atmosphere is always very comfortable and has a bit of the montana feel to it. The pricing for what I have ordered seems very reasonable. Finally the staff and waiters, waitresses are always great and quick with service!

I have eaten at McKenzies more than once unfortunately and I can say that this is not even close to being Italiano pizza.
The atmosphere also leaves allot to be desired. this is not the cuisine that my family would call authentic Italiano.
For a city like Missoula that thrives on hot dogs and hamburgers and french fries. Mckenzies may be a good choice.
For anyone who is looking for authentic NYC or Italian style pizza.. This sure is not the place to go to.
My pizza tasted like frozen pizza out of a box, the service was not very good, slow and the waitress had no clue about Italian fare.
