I came here two days ago because I wanted to try something new. To begin with, the lady at the front counter was very sweet and informative, which gave me a great first impression. I decided to order the bulgogi bento box and everything was amazing – especially the mandu, kimchi and cucumber side dishes. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

First time experience here and I was highly pleased with the options of the menu along with the calm quiet atmosphere within the establishment is clean and you self serve yourself when it comes to water and utensils which I don’t mind at all. There are many options I would definitely come back to try more dishes from this place. Everything is fresh and tasty , i got the tdobookie dish with cheese and ramen and a side of kimchi very fresh and tasty (10/10). The young lady behind the counter was very nice and informative

Galbi lunch bento was amazing! The meat was delicious and tender. Every side was great as well. An amazing value for under $20. Atmosphere was laid back and the mom and pop running it were very nice. I will definitely be back

We consistently come here for great Korean food – the galbi is the best in Texas! They’ve never missed once (both in the quality of the food & friendliness of the staff). All the food we have tried here have been AMAZING! The food hits the spot EVERY TIME! I definitely recommend you try this place if you haven’t yet (get the Ssamjang (bean paste) and use it as a sauce for your meat to give it that extra kick)!

I have had several things on the menu, and it never disappointed. Authentic, delicious menu. Owners are friendly and welcoming. They take good care of you. Probably one of my most favorite Korean restaurant in the DFW area.

The food here is very good. The tofu soup is the best thing about it, of course, but the sides are great as well.
You might not be used to the service as customers need to order at the counter, but there was nothing to complain about for me other than to keep it in mind the next time I come.
The restaurant plays music that is calming and you can hear the cooking in the back, which makes for a warm atmosphere. The lady at the counter is friendly as well.

First time here, we decided to give it a try for dinner. When you walk in, you order at the counter and you have a ticket number on your receipt. The food is delivered to you at your table. The service is friendly.
There isn’t a lot of seating, but they seem to do most of their business as a take-out or pick-up place. The place does get hot from the kitchen so some people might find this uncomfortable. On the evening we ate here, there was a table of 7 and table of 2 and our table of 3. By the time we left almost 2.5 hours later, there were a couple more tables of 3-4 people per table.
The very young cook, seemingly working the kitchen solo on the day we went, is perhaps not very proficient with multitasking. We saw a table of 7 people get each individual meal brought out for each person with about a 20 minute delay between each meal delivered to the table. Our table of three meals came out with a delayed split as well. Our appetizer came out one hour after we ordered then two meals came out 25 minutes after that and the last dish came out 15 minutes after that.
While the food was good and the portions were decent, the time it took for our meals to come out was not great. We can see why there is alot of pick-up meals instead. I’m sure this contributes some to the reason for the eat in delays but this would be a reason for us to not come back, unfortunately.

I have dined in and ordered takeout from Dawon, and I’ve enjoyed my visit both times. I ordered Ttobbokki with noodles, LA Galbi, and bulgogi.
The items were quite tasty. The bulgogi was a takeout order, and it came with Banchan and nice, big lettuce leaves. It was all tasty.
The atmosphere is not fancy by any means, but it’s functional and comfortable. The service was nice. At least I had a good time chatting with the lady at the front desk. She checked on us quite often to see if we were comfortable.
Overall, I enjoyed my meal here and will be back again

Love the lack of single use plastics if you dine in! Everything except some Styrofoam cups and straws are reusable.
Food was pretty good. I enjoyed my spicy pork bento and my accomplice liked their katsu (super crispy !). I really like the bentos; they are the perfect portion size. Only thing I didn’t like so much was the banchan. They were slightly bland and old tasting. We did come in pretty late, so might’ve gotten the day’s end of banchan.
