In 1967, we opened our doors in Abilene, TX to share fresh, authentic Mexican food. Now, almost 52 years later, while the other guys have turned to packaged and processed foods, we’ve stayed true to our roots by crafting authentic recipes in each of our kitchens. We do things the Bueno way, and you’re sure to taste the difference.

I didn’t come here as a customer—I was picking up an order as a Grubhub driver—but the service was extremely disappointing.
When I arrived, the staff seemed unorganized, and no one acknowledged me for several minutes. Even after I told them I was there for a pickup order, they didn’t start preparing it right away, and the order ended up being very delayed. I actually cancelled it because they stated they never received the order and EVERYONE that was there was so RUDE.
I understand rushes happen (however there were only 3 customers in line including ME), but communication and basic courtesy go a long way. This experience made it very difficult to do my job, and I hope the store improves its service for both customers and delivery drivers.

This is the best Taco Bueno experience I have had in a long time, and I’ll definitely be back to this location.
The drive thru was out of order, so I had to go inside, and the inside was super clean. The food preparation area was clean and tidy, counters were spotless, and the utensils were even uniformly placed in the food serving containers. The employees were stocking the items in the dining room when I was there. The dining room was spotless and well kept. I don’t normally remark on the cleanliness of restaurants unless they’re absolutely filthy, but this was noticeably and remarkably clean. In fact, maybe I’ll actually remember to do my receipt survey for once and get a free taco for my time.
The food was great. Most locations can be hit and miss with food quality, but the Muchaco was made perfectly and so were the Mexidips. (Excuse the pictures, i was halfway into my meal before I remembered to snap a pic.)
The staff was friendly and professional.
I am honestly stunned by this experience. I used to eat Bueno a lot more often, but several years ago, I felt like my experiences were being consistently subpar. I work just a few miles from this location and have been missing my Muchacos, so I will definitely be back a lot more often.

Always been a Bueno fan! This location is the best! Hands down best crew and manager. They always go above and beyond to make my food awesome, fast and friendly. They have a few hiccups as most businesses do. But with a smile they persevere and still make your experience a good one. Shout to the manager who is my fave to see! Thank you for making my lunchtime a pleasant one.

What a terrible experience. It was 6:30 p.m., and there was one person cooking and one person taking orders. That person taking orders spent over 10 minutes talking and laughing with someone he knew in the drive-thru while customers waited. The man in front of me said he had already been waiting more than 12 minutes just to place an order. We ended up leaving.

usually gets my order wrong but its the closest one to my house.
EDIT: this is literally the worst taco Bueno. They always get my order wrong or forget parts of it. Yesterday I repeated my order 5+ times and they STILL forgot part of it. I got a beef muchco platter w/ soft taco and a coke. Had to repeat it at the window 5+ times. And when I got it the chips weren’t there and the rice was DISGUSTING and hard.
I love what I get there but I doubt I’ll ever go back.

Food was good and was made quickly but when I asked for the key to the bathroom they act like I’m asking for a heart transplant smh, it’s 4:00 in the afternoon and having bathroom doors locked is weird.

Our order was made wrong. Corrected np. Food was meh. No salsa or pico at the bar. Asked & they said it was 45 minutes until closing so did not put more out. The store was dirty. Will not go back.

Love Taco Bueno. It does not disappoint. I ordered the nacho salad made with chicken and a chicken taco roll up. I got jalapeño ranch on the side and it is so delicious. The woman working the drive-thru also made sure I could get salsa as well, and I appreciate her attention to customer service. She was kind and sweet when we talked at the window.

After spending time in the drive thru line with no progress, I went inside to order. Unfortunately, this didn’t improve my ability to place an order. Only two employees were attempting to take and fulfill the orders. After seeing that they were incredibly understaffed, I left.
