I did an online order for 2 pcs of catfish at 12:30. They called to say they only had ONE catfish (how you only have one and lunch just started? Either y’all food is great or your meal prep is trash) She asked if I wanted whiting or tilapia. Asked if they had wings? She asked baked OR fried? I said either one, but are they flavored? She said yes. Asked if they had lemon pepper. She says ” THEY’RE BAKED MA’AM”! What the heck does that mean?? No way I’m trusting Rudisha with ny food so I cancelled the order. The woman on the phone needs HEAVY customer service training!

Food was ok not worth the price they’re asking. I had the pork chop meal which came out to $21 and change. Very pricey compared to other places I’ve had and pork chop was better, not greasy at all and also a better size and offer a meal with two pork chops also at a less decent price.

The sides were also decent, not much to choose from nor very presentable, the atmosphere feels unwelcome, very deadpan straight face employees.

I do suggest RC kitchen off Gresham rd, located in the plaza where you’ll get your money worth, a pleasant and loving atmosphere, and very delicious soul food. I was in the area and wanted to try this place out but probably won’t be back.

The food wasn’t tasty at all. I ordered turkey, wings, cabbage, and Sweet potatoes. The food was seasoned but poorly seasoned which made the food not taste good. The cabbage was mushy. i’m not sure what taste they were going for with the turkey wings. The sweet potatoes over seasoned with cinnamon, lemon or orange juice perhaps… just not sure of the taste. They should seriously think about revamping recipes to a more traditional taste. I threw it away and that’s a-shame. I love supporting local businesses but I don’t love throwing away money.

I was looking for a good soul food restaurant on a Good Sunday and came across this one on uber eats ! The Mac and cheese and collard greens tasted like my Grandma made them herself ! 10/10 ! If I have have and special event this is the place to Go! Haven’t had sides that were seasoned well and a good size in a long time ! And the yams !!! 10 out 10!!!!! Thank you so much I will definitely tell all my friends I have found a Real soul food restaurant n Ellenwood !

The people were nice but im sorry, the food is horrible. Everything is so bland. I got smothered chicken, collard greens, mac & cheese with yams. All of was disgusting. The baked chicken tasted like canned cream of chicken soup and unseasoned chicken, the mac & cheese was just velveta, the yams taste like they were canned & the greens…. taste like they were just boiled in plain water. No seasoning or turkey necks in sight! I’m extremely disappointed

I really wish I could give this place zero stars. My food, as well as my daughter’s food, was absolutely disgusting. I ordered turkey wings with rice, cabbage, and black eye peas. My daughter had the pork chops and gravy with mac and cheese and black eye peas. When i tell you EVERYTHING WAS OVER COOKED, EVERYTHING WAS OVER COOKED. The rice, cabbage, and peas were mushy, and the mac and cheese was just nasty. I spent $48.00 on a plate either one of us ate. They will not be in business long, I can promise that. I bet they don’t have return customers.

Chicken was dry and tasted like it was cooked a couple days ago. Yams taste like it came straight out the can with no seasoning/watered down. Lima beans ok. The food overall is not worth the price nor time going there.

Cubed steak literally tastes like flour and is tough to chew. I can not eat this. Mac is 4/10. Photo will show it’s missing….cheese and too much pepper. Lima beans and yams were decent. No complaints but definitely can be better. I support black businesses, but we can’t give anything as a product and we just accept it because we’re black. I actually ordered neckbones and now I’m stuck with this which I cannot eat. Literally tastes like flourrr. No seasoning, no flavor this is just unacceptable.

The fried chicken & fried catfish was so good. The mac-n-cheese, green beans & peach cobbler was freaking delicious!! I’m from Bmore & most restaurants down South hasn’t been good too tasty. Oh & the Lemonade is the bomb. I’m SO PLEASED WITH PURCHASING THE FOOD TODAY & WILL BE ORDERING AGAIN BEFORE I HEAD BACK TO BMORE AND NC!!
