If I could give this place 10 stars I would. To start off the food is extremely good, I don’t think I’ve ever had better food in San Jose than I did here. I have had THE best service in town, I felt very much at home all thanks to the wonderful lady by the name of Amelia. Amelia was very attentive to my family’s needs and our food order; she made sure that I and my entire family were well taken care of. I recommended this restaurant to my friends and extended family. I will definitely be returning again as I had such a great experience.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. To start off the food is extremely overpriced and not good at all. Secondly the service is HORRIBLE. We were charged extra for food we did not even order. When confronted about the mistake they did not give us a new receipt and used the old one with the added items we didn’t order. The lady then charged us the total with the extra stuff we didn’t order and she gave us back the money that she charged us for after the transaction. We decided to go back to get a receipt when suddenly another woman who works there who goes by the name of Amelia started harassing us saying that we stole from the young waitress who goes by the name Cynthia. In front of everyone she publicly humiliated us and claiming we were robbing her of her money. Again we paid the whole amount and she only returned the money that she wrongly charged us for. We asked to speak to the manger and the manager said he was busy and couldn’t talk. She forcibly wanted us to pay the items we did NOT ask for. We left with no apology not from the waitress, not from the woman who was harassing us and not even the manager himself. PLEASE DO NOT EVER EAT HERE AND IF YOU DO PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE NOT CHARGING YOU EXTRA WITHOUT YOU EVEN NOTICING!

Stumbled on the place by accident when I thought gps was taking me to another Mexican food restaurant and I’m so glad I made that mistake? I was so impressed with the food and service! I had the menudo and my mom had the beef soup and both were uh-maz-ing!!!!! But what blew us away completely were the handmade (or home made?), corn tortillas that were as big as flour tortillas and they don’t skimp on the amount they give you. Probably the best corn tortillas I have ever tasted. I live an hour away but I will drive back here again! And, service with a huge smile.

Ordered Tostadas de Camaron, was given room temperature shrimp with no flavor no seasoning, tasted like they just added the sauce on top of thawed out shrimp with chopped cilantro, tomato, onion, avocado and cucumber. Had to add the seasoning back at home.

I tried this place out with my family and my experience was perfect. Not only was the food amazing but Amelia made it so much more enjoyable. I’ve never left a restaurant more content and that is all because of Amelia. I will definitely be going back!

Great food, better music, and the service is exceptional! I have eaten at many restaurants in the San José area and the birria tacos here never disappoint! Added to that, our server Amelia was very kind and constantly checking in with us.

If you’re in the San José area I highly recommend dining here, as the servers are great and the music adds a great atmosphere for a Friday night out!
