Every aspect of this place is what I love about small businesses.

It’s charming inside with a vibe that transports you to what feels like having a small meal in France. Ok, so I’ve never been to France, but that is exactly how I felt when eating here.

Came here for a birthday on Sunday, and we had 2 LARGE tables up front. Pre-set Sunday Brunch meal, and it was delicious.

EVERYTHING was amazing. The salad was fresh and refreshing, the Au Gratin, WOW, the Quiche(s) were cooked to perfection. Surprisingly, while I am a bacon connoisseur, the veggie quiche was so rich and flavorful. The Tartine was delightful, and the Croqu’ Monsiuer was equally as delicious.

The mimosas were a little on the pricey side, but you could tell this wasn’t a $5 bottle of Brut. My favorite was the Kir Royal, which had a Raspberry Liquor. However, the star for me was a beer on tap, 1664, a French beer with great flavor and body. Loved it.

Service was top notch. I believe the owners were on the floor along with 2 other ladies who were kind, charming, and the absolute cherry on top. It’s service like this which makes regulars of these establishments.

I think I’ve found a place I would love to stop by more often when I am in San Pedro… and you should too. A little breakfast outside the downtown street may just be an amazing time for you and company.

Shout out to the Giant Lego Eiffel Tower up front. LOVE IT.

This French restaurant in San Pedro has a European atmosphere. We booked a table on the restaurant’s official website in advance. This restaurant is quiet and clean. There are many choices on the wine list, but the menu has relatively few dishes. The octopus tastes great, the onion soup is rich, the French duck confit is smaller than expected, but the taste is outstanding and amazing, the beef stew is soft and tasty, and the overall quality of the food is very satisfactory!

Food was more than excellent . It was amazing. You can taste that the food is made from scratch. The Octopus was great and the beet salad was great. I had the chicken dinner and hubby had duck and it was so good. Will be back.

COMPAGNON Wine Bistro is such a charming spot. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, cozy, and welcoming. The host sets the tone right away with a friendly greeting that makes you feel like a regular even if it is your first visit. My waitress was genuinely kind, attentive without hovering, and had great wine recommendations that matched exactly what we were looking for.

The food is delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and the wine list has a great range without feeling overwhelming. Everything feels intentional from the pairings to the pacing of the meal. It is the kind of place where you can settle in, relax, and enjoy conversation without feeling rushed.

Overall it is a wonderful experience with excellent service, a friendly host and waitress, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back. I would happily recommend COMPAGNON Wine Bistro to anyone looking for a relaxed but elevated night out.

Heard good things about this place so my friend made a reservation for Sunday Brunch for the 3 of us during my Los Angeles vacation.

Located in downtown San Pedro, free parking in the public parking lot on Sundays

Quaint little French bistro, we were seated quickly and service was very warm and friendly. First time here, so decided with a little help from the waitress on the Bread Pudding French Toast, the Cured Salmon Tartine and the Quiche Lorraine that were all delicious and made a memorable brunch.

A great experience, looking forward to dinner here again next time Im in town. 5 stars.

Absolutely love this spot. We bring our friends here when they come to town. The owners are so welcoming and friendly. The wine lists are unique and exceptional. The French Onion soup is the best I’ve ever eaten—including dining in France. The steak frites are wonderful. You can’t go wrong eating here.

What a wonderful find. The wine choices were wonderful. The Beef Bourguignon was the spectacular. The best part of the meal was the chocolate mousse!!! I have had many excellent versions of this dessert, but this was by far the best I have ever had!!

We went for brunch and had a truly wonderful experience. The restaurant is beautiful, very airy and light. There’s also sitting outside in a park let covered with umbrellas. We were there early so we got seated right away. Parties started coming in with reservations after we were seated. I recommend making reservations. Our food was excellent. We ordered the Bread Pudding French Toast and beet cured Salmon Tartine. Prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality of food. The service was great. The servers were friendly and efficient. We would definitely come back for dinner.

Great food and staff!
I have a lot of experience with cheeses. From the rare casu marzu to the common yak chew, I have sampled them all. So when I say the raclette here is good, it really is good!

Eating here is just a fantastic experience and I will come again.
