I’ve been coming to this restaurant for some years now.
Although the restaurant and menu here is quite simple, everything here is very good, and extremely reasonably priced.

The service from all the ladies is always friendly, happy and attentive.

The portions are good sized and Food always arrives quickly.

I’ve had many Vietnamese pancakes in many in places, Sydney, Cabramatta etc and various places abroad, and this one at what the pho is the best one I’ve ever had, the ( savoury ) pancake is fluffy and crunchy and has an excellent taste and texture.. with pork belly, various veg, salads and sauce. I highly recommend this dish, to all Vietnamese -foodies and anyone who has never tried one of these. It’s a lovely subtle dish to have if never tried Vietnamese food before.
If wanting it traditional style, served additionally with ( roll your own ) rice paper the ladies will bring those and hot water, mats etc, out for you too. ( if you ask )

I definitely recommend this restaurant, it’s very wallet friendly and you leave full and happy and content every time.

What a great place for some delicious food.
My wife and shared some very tasty seafood spring rolls then moved on to the Bun Bo Hue and Pork belly Bun salad. All the dishes were fantastic.
I mixed the table Chilli sate in with the sweet chilli sauce that we were given to go with the spring rolls, amazing mix.
Also added it to the Bun Bo Hue, it helped settle the fish sauce as I found it a little strong but with the Sate was great.
Would definitely recommend this gem of a restaurant.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (because I can’t give 4.7)
Walked in hungry and walked out satisfied!
The banh mi was excellent, proper crunchy roll, punchy flavours, the kind that makes you nod silently while chewing like you’ve just discovered a life hack.
The salt and pepper squid was… fine. Not bad, not life-changing. It did its job. We respect it. It tried.
But then… the Vietnamese pancake with bean sprouts arrived.
Crispy, fresh, loaded with flavour, and somehow both light and completely satisfying at the same time. If you go here and don’t order this, you’re doing life wrong.
We also had a great chat with Ian, the owner who is an absolute top bloke. Friendly, welcoming, and clearly cares about what he’s serving. You can tell this place is run with pride, not just a fryer and a till.
Great food, great vibes, great bloke.
Would 100% go back. Probably just for the pancake.

I tried What the Pho Toukley, and it was just okay. The Pho was decent enough, but it used dry noodles and the broth was missing some depth. The Bun Bo Hue was similar, the flavor was a bit light on lemongrass and there wasn’t a lot of meat, so it wasn’t the most filling meal. It’s an alright option since it’s the only Vietnamese spot around, but nothing special.

Food is ALWAYS phenomenal! You won’t find a better Bahn Mi anywhere on the coast. The staff go above and beyond and I’m ordering from here at least once a week

The food at this place is awesome — no complaints at all. All the staff are amazing and very friendly.

However, I do have one serious complaint. I don’t know the name of the man, but during our conversation he mentioned that he is the husband of the lady who owns the restaurant. He really needs to learn to keep quiet while customers are dining. I understand it’s your restaurant, but customers come here to enjoy their food and have a pleasant experience — not to listen to your unnecessary comments.

Please be more mindful in the future and allow customers to enjoy their meals in peace.

We were staying at the Beachcomber resort so went for lunch at “What the Pho” which was nearby on Sunday.
Fantastic, what more can I say, we ordered two rice paper rolls, & two Pho, one was combination ( Pho Dac Biet) & the other meat balls (Pho Bo Vien).
One of us is an avid Pho fan & said his was the best he has ever had, & he’s had quite a few.
The staff are so friendly & the young lady who is the chef came & spoke with us, what a lovely lady.
We’re from Sydney but will make every effort to visit again.

Excellent service and amazing value for money food.

The traditional Banh Mi was delicious. It is a very generous serving with fresh ingredients and one of the best bread rolls i have had recently.

This is a fantastic little restaurant that never looks busy from the outside but has a constant stream of regulars because of the service.

I will be back here again soon.
