Ordered through Door Dash. Received a call from Sheena stating that the driver was there but the potato salad I ordered would take 10 minutes to make. I chose the yams instead. About 15 minutes later my order was canceled by the store. WTH! When I looked at my order I also saw that the banana pudding I ordered was also out of stock. I don’t understand how the store can just cancel an order. Call me back and offer options. Good grief. Now I have to go through the whole process of ordering something else AND waiting 3-5 days for my $30+ to be returned. Clearly would NOT recommend.

Sheena and the other staff was so helpful and happy to cook the food. And when I tell yall the food was amazing. Took me back to grandmas. Was supposed to take it home but couldn’t stop eating it in the car. Cornbread amazing. Fish out of this world. Greenbeans make want me and the yellow rice was perfect. I really appreciated the service and recommend this place to everyone!!!!!!!

I just moved to Suffolk from Queens this past Summer. I’ve ordered from here three times through uber eats so I feel like I have enough to write a review. Every time that I’ve ordered from here the food has tasted different. The first time, I ordered Mac and cheese, yams, and fried whiting. I ordered fried shrimp and fries for my stepdad. The yams were out so I received a call from the owner, Sheena, explaining that and I chose string beans instead. I will say, Sheena was polite over the phone. I can’t really attest to the service as I’ve never been in store.
When I got the food, the Mac and cheese was INSANELY salty like they put a tub of salted butter in it or something. The shrimp was also really salty. I don’t know what happened there, but I decided to give them another chance. The second time, I ordered Mac and cheese, yams, and chicken wings. This time I was able to get the yams which were really good by the way, the Mac and cheese was less salty, still salty, but definitely not as bad as the first time and the chicken wings were nice and juicy and well seasoned. They also included cornbread with it which was okay. This was probably the best experience out of all of them.
The third time, tonight, I ordered again with my family. I got Mac and cheese, yams, chicken wings, and a side of collard greens. The Mac and cheese was definitely a lot less saltier which was great, the yams were good too it looked like there was some marshmallow in it this time, but the chicken was very very dry. And for some reason, I was sent chicken thighs instead of the cut up chicken wings that I received the first time which was a lottttt better than the thighs. All in all, every time that I’ve had food from this place, it’s tasted different. I’m not sure if it’s because they’re new, but if they could get consistent with the food quality and taste I think it could be a really good spot. I’ve also had food from Lola’s in Medford and I honestly think Lola’s is a little better. I really only ordered from here because it’s a lot closer to me. I most likely won’t order again because I’ve already tasted three times and I don’t really feel like it’s worth the gamble of it being hit or miss and not really knowing what I’m going to get. I wish that I had better things to say because I love how close it is to me. I hope that we can get more good soul food and Caribbean places out here.

I just ordered lunch, which I had the crispy fried chicken, collard greens, yams and potato salad with the side of cornbread. The food was delicious. The only thing was a little disappointed the baked macaroni and cheese wasn’t ready but other than that I truly enjoyed my lunch Definitely recommend dining at Sheena’s Soul Food & More!

A hidden gem in Coram, friendly family-owned business with tasteful soul food. The candied yams and cornbread were some of the best that I’ve had. The food is homemade with a ton of flavor and it feels no different than going over to your friend’s or family’s spot and grabbing a plate. Great people, great food.

Most of the Food was Fantastic . Although they run out of their food quickly. My suggestion is to go before 7 although they close at 8. The customer service is disgusting otp but in person they attitudes seem to change . They are expensive so make sure the wallet is healthy, the portions is fair . The best thing on their menu is the Mac and cheese , whiting , and Sheena famous cornbread!

I heard about this place one night and went to check it out. It’s a small spot and easy to miss. Walked in….(it’s a simple spot) unassuming. Not fancy….but it doesn’t need to be. It’s take out. It’s family owned and the owner “Sheena” and the rest of her family are very friendly. Cool people. In the short time she has been there, it’s obvious that she has built a rapport with people because when I am there, people come in and say “you know what I want.” LOL…she knows what I usually order, but I change it up because when I see them making other plates….I want to try those dishes. This is a legit soul food spot. I go at least once a week and sometimes 2 times a week. I love this place.

If i can give 0 for the nonsense this place is i would but I would not be able to write this! I’m from Pennsylvania and just moved to Ridge i found this place and was excited to try. We ordered 2 meals and a few sides. We waited 1:30hr for our food. We chucked it up to home cooking. We go inside and outside about 6 times before it was done. Sheena was on the phone arguing with customers the whole time we went in and out. We received our food it came up to 32.66 my fiancé tipped 20.00 and headed out. When we got home there was only one meal there. I called no answer. Online it states they close at 5:00 we went back around 4:40 and it was closed!! Just trifling. I was so disappointed and sad that someone would do that on a Sunday after we paid almost double for our food
