We tried El Paso Tacos and Tequila during our last weekend living here and it was an overall okay experience. I ordered the enchiladas rancheras with cheese. The beans were actually really good and the virgin coconut drink was delicious, but the enchilada sauce tasted like it came from a jar rather than something freshly made. We also ordered the small queso dip and it reminded us of Kraft macaroni and cheese in soup form, which was not our favorite.
We are from Houston so we usually compare everything to the Tex Mex over there. This place would not make our top ten list, but we were at least glad to finally try it before leaving so we know we were not missing anything special. We came on a Friday night and it was not packed at all. There were only a few tables occupied. Our server was very attentive and did a great job, although the slower night might have helped with that.
If you want a place to hang out, drink, and enjoy the atmosphere, this is probably perfect. The restaurant is colorful and has a fun bar area. If you are a foodie looking for high quality Tex Mex, this is probably not the place for you. I still give it four stars for the service and the drinks.

First time at this place. We sat outside but the mosquitoes were so bad, they ran us indoors. I had about 15 bites on my legs from sitting outside for 5 minutes. The service was good and food was decent. Prices are moderate

Food was actually decent. But HORRIBLE service!!! Entire staff constantly neglected entire restaurant to sing karaoke. We weren’t checked on once. Then our waitress clocked out and left and didnt close us out or inform us.

I love the flan, the chiles rellenos and the flautas! Hands down the best menu entrees! Nikki and Jocelyn are the SWEETEST waitresses here! I enjoy seeing them every time I come here for lunch.

My family and I have been here a few times and I have to say that the food and service have improved. The menu has been updated and the food is delicious. Donna has been our server a couple times and she’s great, very attentive and kind. I recommend if you’re in the Belle Chasse area.

The health department needs to check in more often because they have cockroaches crawls on the floor . The place is just a high end toco bell. I tried the place twice to get a better vibe rather than going wrong the first time but the customer service needs to be trained better. I won’t be back even if the food is free.

Love the updates done to this place! The decor looks great! They covered the kitchen, added new tables and chairs, the art work and added star lights.The menus are updated and the Food is still great. Wish the bathroom had a changing table though. They did add a genius overflow tp roll holder in the stalls. My family and I prefer this to el patron.

Genuinely the worse food and dining experience ever. Our waitress has no idea what she was doing and spoke very very little English, which is fine, but when things are getting messed up because of a language barrier, get a manager. Food was mediocre at best. My dog could have made a more flavorful quesadilla with refried beans and rice. Such a shame, I will definitely NOT be returning to this restaurant.
