Wow!!! We stopped here because of the reviews. We are full time RVers and one of the main things we love doing on our adventures is stopping a mom and pop diners. We saw another RV in the reviews that put this place in their top 5 diners they had eaten at. We can not agree more!!!! Out of 16 states as foodies this is definitely in our top 5.

The staff is wonderful and the nicest people you will ever meet. The customer are just as sweet. This is what a diner should be. Amazing food like what you would get in grandmas kitchen and a welcome home feel. The portion sizes are LARGE so be prepared to take home and have your meal for at least another meal or possibly 2!! We definitely recommend the tenderloin but everything looked amazing. There is large selection of down home favorites on the menu and don’t forget dessert. the price for such great food is unbelievable.

Definitely don’t miss this stop!! Come in make your self at home, and don’t forget to come very hungry. We will be back tomorrow and bringing my grandmother with us before hitting the road again. Thank you to all the wonderful staff and the great food you guys are nailing it.

Pictured (manhattan tenderloin, breading tenderloin, kids cheese burgers, kids chicken strips, and one happy husband that some how finished all that meal ‍♀️)

Absolutely love small town diners. Just a whole approach the feel and everything about them is such an experience of Americana across this country, every time I’m in a small town I try to find one to eat at. Reds was no disappointment here and really gave you the atmosphere feel and food that I’ve come to enjoy in small town diners. I really struggle with Google reviews sometimes to pick whether to give somebody four or five stars. I would say that if you are in the area and want a nice local diner experience with Good food you need to stop by. The eggs on the omelet, actually tasted like eggs, and the pecan pancakes were great.

I loved eating here. My tenderloin was big enough to cover all the fries with which it was served. The staff were friendly and efficient, checking on me just enough. I want to go back and try other items on the menu. YUM.

Friendly atmosphere. Waitress was very helpful. The only thing is is chosing the table we sat at. It was very close to the cash register, so a queue of people in line to pay watching What we eat and listening closely to the conversation. So maybe separating the paying counter from the eating area?

Big Red’s Place Restaurant serve breakfast and lunch hours from morning to afternoon the breakfast menu was quite a list including the large selection for lunch. Located downtown Edinburgh, Indiana. Home cooking, and desert was superb. You will be glade to visit this quaint style eatery atmosphere. This would be a great motorcycle stop during summer.

Nice little restaurant. Hidden in Edinburgh,IN. It was our first time there. It was a busy place but good reason for it. It was very good food for the price. The portions are perfect. We got the Friday special of fried biscuits and Apple butter for $2.95. I was expecting 4 biscuits for that price. We got 10!!!!! I was pleasantly surprised by that. It was delicious. Will defiantly return.

Today on Kevin’s Diner

Shannon wanted to do some shopping at the Edinburgh Premium Outlet mall. So after a nice motorcycle ride from Brown County to Edinburgh I dropped her off at the mall. I then set out to find some gas for the motorcycle and lunch for my tummy.

Big Red’s Place in the old downtown of Edinburgh was my lunch destination. Today’s special was two coney dogs and fries. Trust me, I had a hard time passing that up but I did. Two farmers were also lunching there and they said Big Red’s had the best breaded pork tenderloin around. So since I had recently tried the Edinburgh Diners tenderloin I decided that I would try Big Red’s and compare.

Big Red’s tenderloin did not disappoint. It was big, thick, meaty and the breading was good and stayed adhered to the meat. It had good flavor and I’m guessing it was cooked in fresh oil. The crinkly fries were hot and crisp, everything that you would want in a fried spud. Washed it down with two cold Arni Palmers.

The prices are very reasonable!

It was a very good meal and I enjoyed it very much. The service was great and the company of my two new farmer friends was even better.

5 Stars for Big Red’s……

Until next time Bon appetit

Ps. My next review will hopefully be about salad and water. Breaded pork tenderloins are a little heavy in this heat.
