We came here for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff was very friendly (we also ordered almost everything recommended and it did not disappoint) and the food was delicious.
We got a cucumber roll starter that may have been the best dish of the bunch. The crab rangoons were also phenomenal and filled with a healthy amount of crabmeat (vs the usual cream cheese filler).
We flagged it so next time we visit will try additional items from the menu.

If I could give Chef Chris, Sarah, and Cafe 401 a 10-star review, I would. We (along with another couple) came by when the doors were closed to see if they were still serving breakfast. Chef Chris took us in, gave us the VIP treatment, and fed us absolutely scrumptious food. Though we felt terrible that we were putting them out, the bacon Benny and Obi Breakfast was heaven. Hollandaise sauce was the best I’ve ever had and the roasted potatoes were on point. Make this a must-stop in St Michaels!

Great food and service from Marie.
I loved the Eggs Benedict with potatoes.
I also loved that it wasn’t as expensive as I expected it to be.
Great food at a fair price.

Fresh food and friendly service – one of the best places for breakfast in St Michaels. Very comfortable atmosphere with a good selection and reasonable prices.

Cafe 401 was such a nice surprise! We popped in for an early Sunday morning breakfast and were greeted with such warm and inviting staff. My husband, 9 year old daughter and I all LOVED our food. The atmosphere was my personal favorite. Super small space that felt very cozy. The front of the house staff was incredibly friendly. We definitely plan to return on our next St. Michaels vacay!

We stopped in for breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed our food and the atmosphere. The food was well prepared and the portions were large. The service was excellent as well. If you want a good breakfast in Saint Michaels, I recommend Cafe 401.

Fantastic breakfast from Chef Chris. I had his signature peaches and cream French toast, and my wife had the unique cinnamon quinoa bowl. Both delicious in their own way! Sat outside and enjoyed St. Michaels. Highly recommend this new Cafe.

The biscuits and gravy here are fantastic! The delicate, sweet honey biscuits perfectly compliment the savory, homemade sausage gravy. My only mistake was eating there on our first morning of vacation. Now I don’t want to go anywhere else for breakfast!

If you haven’t tried Cafe 401 you are truly missing out!!! George recommended a fabulous wine with dinner. Michael knocked it out of the park with his baked oysters as an appetizer. The pan seared chateaubriand and honey glazed lavender salmon was out of this world. Last but far from the least the strawberry panda cotta was awesome. Congratulations to your entire team; we cannot wait to eat at Cafe 401 again.

Great breakfast in a Historic building, no other place like it in St Michaels. Menu choices include traditional breakfast favorites all made from scratch in house and with real eggs!!! Accommodations can be made for special diets including Gluten Free. Chef Patrick makes some yummy food.
