We came to Tacos Culiacan to celebrate my Comadre’s belated birthday. It just happened to be on Viernes Santo. So I was excited to see if they had Cuaresma food.
THEY DID!!!
I ordered the Shrimp Patties topped with Nopales in Salsa Roja with a side of Beans & Rice with three Homemade Corn Tortillas.
My Comadre got the Chiles Rellenos con Queso with Beans & Rice and the Tortillas.
We also got a side of the Queso to add to the beans and the tacos. It added a yummy ‘just like home’ flavor.
For dessert, we had the Capirotada, a Mexican-style bread pudding. We had the last of it, and it was more than enough to eat there and take home.
The place is small and intimate. Our server was very friendly, and we were the last folks there. She gave us space to chat and visit while she mopped. It really reminded me of eating at home.

I give them a 1 because some of the food is good but the service is horrible. The waitresses shame the waitress industry. Specially the tall “blond” with extensions.
She gets bothered if you ask her for more coffee or sugar or napkins.. she’s really bad. They recently hired a waitress assistant guy and although he’s nice he immediately forgets so he never brings you what you ask for. Don’t come here if you want good service.

Expensive, food quality poor and taste like oil got carne asada plate, instead of sauted they were oily, a 2 weeks ago they were giving chips and salsa when I went this time, the rude waitress told they stopped serving chips and salsa 3 years ago, never going back again, only just to get the panera cheese, but not to eat there anymore. Paid 61.00 for 2 plates, drinks and the cheese.

Great Sinaloa food I love it. The service is not good at all. The ladies here definitely need customer service training and something else because they never greet or smile or come back to your table to check up on you. But I still come here because the food is super good at a reasonable price. I don’t recommend it for large parties or a date because they take long and serve one plate at a time.

If you want authentic Sinaloan food this is the place. The food was amazing reminded me of my mom’s cooking and family parties. If you want a good fresh cooked meal this place is on point. Don’t expect 5 star service…. But then again I didn’t go there for that.

The food is just amazing here. Authentic Sinaloan food. Tortillas made by hand. They have the red menudo and white menudo. And my favorite the agua de cebada with a side of machaca .

The food is amazing, the service was not the best. The service was actually terrible, and i am talking about the lady that provided service to us. I am very sorry that I did not catch her name. There are other ladies that have great customer skills, unfortunately we got the worse one. The food I must say is very authentic and very delicious.
