The service:
Took us about 15 mins to get a waiter to come over and bring us some water. After that we were able to place our order and it took another 35 mins to get our food. The restaurant hand other patrons in it, but really it wasn’t busy at all.
The view:
Stunning view of Apple Canyon Lake. At least we had something pretty to look at while we waited around for the food
The food:
Actually pretty solid food. Quite a limited menu, but the buffalo chicken sandwich special was very good. My girlfriend got the American Burger (charged a dollar extra for cheese, like come on). They forgot to add all the toppings to the burger, and those showed up after the burger was nearly finished. However, that was nice. Whatever sauce they put on was very scrumptious. The fries were skinny, but still alright.
Overall, if you have the time, I’d say it’s worth it not a good place for a quick bite to eat.

Absolutely gorgeous place the food is really good now they have soft serve ice cream so that’s exciting. The owner is super nice. Service was great. The view is priceless. Love this place.

Avoid this place… the management and service was horrible. On line reservations would not allow 12 guest so I called and made a reservation for 6 and 6 outside so we could take in the view and be together.
When we arrived the outside sign said to “seat ourselves”, but I went inside to make sure we sat in the correct place because I had made the reservations.
They had 2 tables ready to accommodate 4 at each table. Again we had 6 and 6 which equals 12. 4 plus 4 is 8. At most you could fit 5 at a table.
The place was empty outside the with exception of maybe 2 other tables. We put our tables together so we could be together.
A girl came out super rude to us and said putting tables together was not allowed. We asked to see the manager.
This guy came out and was so mean, unwelcoming and unprofessional towards us. He said “my tables don’t get moved!”
They are small wrought iron tables, nothing fancy here. We looked at him in shock at the way he was treating us.
He said, “You are stealing from my waitresses”. Which made no sense to us. I thought he was joking at first. How much money do you think a table of 12 could generate?
The manager continued to be inconsiderate so we decided to take our business elsewhere!
It was a terrible experience for all of us. I would not recommend this place if it were the last place to eat.
We later looked at reviews and could see there is a pattern here. Wish we would have read the reviews first! I have 11 others who all agree.
Read the reviews from others who were there before us. You can’t make this stuff up. I wish I would have recorded it. Unbelievable and sad that people are so miserable:/

Not sure if someone here actually “cooking”or just serving anothers food from package.
They’re absolutely don’t care about preparing or checking what they selling/serving.
No welcome water offered.
No asking for coffee/drink refills,even they said it in menu.
Servers wearing weird baroque shirts.
But very nice view on the lake.

The Cove is a beautiful restaurant, but every time I have ordered food from here they’ve gotten the order wrong. I got a to go order just a couple weeks ago and was served raw meat… so I called and asked to speak to the manger and sent her a picture of the half raw steak we received and was told to “put it in the microwave” not professional at all, expected more from them.

Not impressed with our experience. We arrived and waited by the host stand. Another customer walked in behind us and cut in front of us to ask about “their to-go order.” The sever that helped the to go order checked on the order and said “it will be a few more mins” then walked away without acknowledging the four of us waiting.
Fast forward to what I think was a manger that sat us. Waited a little while for our server. Service was not bad but could have been better. Food was decent, nothing to write home about though.
The real kicker was at the end of the meal when we went to pay. In July of 2018 we received gift certificates totaling $100. Unaware that the management had changed, we made the trip through the middle of nowhere to get there.
No signs warning us about NEW MANAGEMENT or the issues of gift certificates. We were informed that this wasn’t the first time and there has been a lot of issues with gift certificates.
It would have been nice to have been WARNED.
This is most likely the first and last time at the Cove.

Great atmosphere with peaceful lakeside tables at sunset. Enjoyed specialty drinks for the fourth of July with appetizers from our knowledgeable friendly waitress. We will definitely return, probably by boat next time.

Okay, Ive updated my review. The Cove has been inconsistent in the past for a long time. And it’s nice to finally have some good folks running the place. And, their food has been very good and consistent the last several times we’ve been there over the last year or so. Great service and so far no long waits for food (we’ve had long waits for food in the past even with reservations). It’s nice now to not only enjoy a great view of the lake, but also now with good food and service!

If you need good food with great service, this is the place to stop! Stopped for a small bite and cocktails, must try the cremesickle cocktail it was great! Other than the amazing views I must say the manager Randy was at great service during my visit, super helpful and friendly. I will certainly be back with friends and family!
